NO Interactive service - NO Red Button....

Well - for the first 2-3 days anyway.

Just spoken to Telewest in Liverpool and they say they didn't negotiate the fees for the Interactive broadcasts in time - so it will be a while before I can swap over to those feeds.

Thankfully I got the RealOne feeds signed up in time - last year I had to wait iver a day for that!

Yup - I pay for the 4Broadband service - £4.95 a month for the 'live' feeds over the 'net.

My original topic was about Telewest though - their viewers don't have the red button interactive service yet - and it looks like they are not going to get it for a while.

Just had email back from Telewest to say:
"Unfortunately I cannot give you any feedback that you would be happy
with. All the information I have is what you already know. I cannot give
you a estimated time of when this will be introduced."

I complained, loudly, about the 'loss' of service and that's the best they can come up with. I've replied to get them to escalate the problem, someone must know what's going on ! I'm not going to sit back and let them say they've no idea - when it's their problem !

I hate it when that white scrolling window comes up taking up half the screen. And its only showing 1 or at the most two lines of scrolling text.

Hope they show two cameras, but without that wasted space underneath like last year. More cameras would be nicer.

With not much happening can wait few days til it does..

I'm with Telewest here too. And I dont have Red Button either. Yet.

Also had a chat with Telewest customer service, all they can do is log my 'complaint' - they will not escalate it further.
I asked them to get a supervisor and they just said I had to write to my local Teleworst office. Does nothing, did that last yera and never got a reply.
So - I've emailed The Sun instead... See if that shakes 'em up a bit, if The Sun actually do anything that is !

Try email to: bizarre@the-sun.co.uk; talkback@the-sun.co.uk; letters@the-sun.co.uk

The more who email the better...

I doubt its their fault but will e mailing them get you anywhere.
Get sky installed.Or better still hack the speakers out of your tv and stick a blanket over the screen and imagine you are watching them live sleeping,

Standard replies from The Sun - no action, now there's a surprise

Called Telewest again today - still no news, they say they are in negotiations...

Called C4 - they say there is no Interactive service on Telewest and they can only say that they are 'waiting for Telewest to respond' - whatever that may mean.

Thanks for the post!!!
I was about to ring Telewest up about this!!
The only real opportunity i
get to watch a bit of
live feed, is between 8-10pm, when E4 goes
over to BBLB repeat and old Friends episodes.
TELEWEST SORT IT OUT.....NOW!!
