Far be it for me to present a delicate subject but.
Even the forums here seem to reiterate what everybody else is saying Big Brother has had its day.
The cosy little world has finally met its match in that Joe Public is not interested in tits and titillation
Did it really take three years for the buck to finally drop..

Completely disagree. The opening nights viewing figures show that BB still has its appeal.
It is just that this years HM's havent provided a spark. Another set might have.
That simple.

I don't think BB has run it's course..I do however think they could have chosen better in their HMs, but then I don't know what the quality of applicants they had this year...there doesn't seem to be any real "characters " this year, no one that really stands out.
I hope there will be some intersting tasks and surprises to add a bit of tension to it all..I am enjoying it though...
maybe we get a little nostalgic about previous BBs..and therefore nothing could live up to it.My fav was BB2, I loved the mix of characters and really felt strongly over who I thought should win etc..this year I have no definite favs or anyone I really dislike.

I don't know why everyone is getting so fed up already. While I do admit this first week hasn't really held my attention, I do know that by week 4 or 5 I'll be totally hooked and only then will I really watch it.
I find that by that time, the housemates that are left don't take much notice of the cameras and they have gotten to know each other a bit better.

Sorry to ramble on, but we don't really know what BB has instore for them, and it could get better.

 I'm off to bed now.

I do think that the people this year are quite stale than past years but that is down to them all being nicey nicey to each other.

After seeing these people, I am wondering what the people at C4 who pick them are actually paid. It must be the easiest job in the world because you could blindfold yourself and get people with more personality than these. Easiest job in Britain.

Most people I know sorry to say are saying its the most boring BB yet and most cant be bothered to watch. C4 should liven things up by going harder on them but it wont happen. This well and truly could be the end of Big Brother as we know it and you could be right Big Brother Cut.

Just sack the people who chose these people, anyone and I mean anyone could do better at picking people. Get people in the house who are totally different from each other, thats how you cause arguments. You dont pick nicey niceys who will just worship the other people because they dont want an argument.

At least get a gag, so Sissy can actually shut up.

Dont agree at all....people are giving up on this one too early, but it seems to be being watched and talked about by many people...as usual!

I love the format Starlet, I really do. But these people are not going to change from being nicey nicey, Its a shame.

I can see where everyone is coming from, but come on, the public voted out Anouska who (although irritating) was perhaps the best bet for sparks in the house.

surely we must take some of the blame by turning this into a 'most genuine and friendly' contest rather than an entertaining tv show? The way things are going we will no doubt be left with the nicest (and, therefore, dullest) people.

I can see why so many people aren't watching it this year, because the housemates aren't the best, but they're not the worst either! I think the BB1 housemates were the worst. Whoever had been picked to go on BB1 would have done well anyway, because no one had seen a show like this before. Without Brian, BB2 would have failed, and without Jade BB3 would have failed, because the papers would have no one to write about! The reason it isn't doing as well this year, is because there is no gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual or extremely loud person. However, I don't actually think BB is too bad. I just think that people should realise and accept that we know what to expect each year. Apart from the kind of dull housemates this year (not dull, but no one who stands out), the only other bad thing I think, is the producers' idea of 'going back to BB's routes'! Viewers don't want to see things done again, they want to move forward, not backwards!

The BB producers only care about one thing. The £££.

Maybe they are happy to pick 12 media friendly muppets who they can manipulate, market and milk for all the mullah in and out of the house.

But SURELY there must have been better candidates. In fairness, if you had to sit through 1,000s videos would you want to pick the most idiotic unstable egotists. Well, frankly YES!

But then again, Tim-Evil-And-Dim whose audition tape must have been ultra-boring was BB GOLD, or should that be BB GINGER?

And there's nothing wrong with being Ginger. Two of my heroes were red-heads: GB Shaw and Bagpuss! :D
