It was ridiculous (but incredibly clever) of the Ginger Scouser to start up that boys v girls thing after Justine was kicked out. Let's face it, we are only talking about 2 evictionss so far. If we get to a stage where 4 out of the first 5 evictions are females then it's something worth looking at.
What will happen as a result now is that none of the girls will nominate each other (prob all voting Fed + Jon en masse), and the boys feeling self conscious about it will try and avoid voting for 2 girls. Certainly Gos and Doubtfire will nominate at least one lad (most prob Fed).
ASsuming the girls down conspire (though I expect that they will), we could have 4 or 5 people up for eviction next week.
However.......
I do think that when it comes to the public voting, then boys have a better chance.
Male voters are more likely to be open minded about who they vote for, and most probably would prefer to keep in the sort of person they would like to go for a pint with.
Female voters will include a large percentage of "tweenie voters" where they want to keep a "fit lad" in the house, or vote out a woman because of her looks.
Of course that isn't a 100% sweeping generalisation, but I do think lads stand a better chance of succeeding with the public. Last year's winner Kate won it because of her "blokey" appeal to male voters, and the female vote was "anti Jade"
