Some very interesting points (makes a change..

). Michelle, I know what you mean, that seems to be the case with this year's HMs but as Finchy9 points out the type of HMs that should be in the house are those who are prepared to take the flak. They know the score, that's why they applied.
I think this year's HMs are just playing the game, believing that by remaining non-confrontational that somehow they will endear themselves to the public. The trouble is with that tactic as we have seen, is that the slightest bit of annoyance in a person is emphasised that much more and hence the reason for boos to Justine, Fed, and Tania. If they had been in previous BBs I doubt if they'd have got the same reception. The HM's tictacs have back-fired on them, the public have become disillusioned with the show and in a way we're venting our anger at the contestants for being so dull.
However, the HMs should have learnt from previous BBs. I bet that the two most outrageous characters, in terms of personal behaviour, have been Nick and Jade, and they have probably received the most fame and financial rewards. This lot are just in it to win it, and hope to return to their mundane lives at the end. Fair enough, but why bother applying, but more to the point, why did their applications become accepted?
