Your scout-camp wasn't too old fashioned that I could call the one that I ment really traditional and historical. At Brownsea Island were only males, they had to live there in an very primitive way overall with BP by the year of 1907. And as a task - if they'd get real scouts living on their yard and they should be organizing their camp for few days over there 24 hours per day.
Finns had Military camp task at their BB1. HM's lived on the yard, they did get in to House only for their Diary Room visits during the task.
Or they should have their own 6) Fear-Factor or 7) Survivors style of a task. Or 8) a crime-mystery-task.
9) Or they should get in the House few stubborn teenagers to deal with or 10) daily Kindegarten to work with for example for a week.

11) Or they should have someone non-english-speaking immigrant in the House that they should make feel him/herself welcome and make him/her to adapt to British society.

12) Or few demented elderly to take care of 24/7.
But bringing in some outsiders is always too risky.
Micro Cars race could be fine - if they can build and make them work by themselves.
13) Or Swedish-style Midsummer party this weekend!
14) Or weather-forecast task with daily reports.
15) Or running a peace negotiations for example between two religions or countries or political points of views. 16) Or just settle differencies between common people.

And I found this one:
