As told to me just now by my husband in the worse possible Irish accent ever.


Paddy has been in the pub all day celebrating St Patricks Day. He gets to the end of the evening and says goodnight to Mick the barman. He's well oiled and falls flat on his face as he gets out of the pub. 'Shoite' he says. He looks up and sees the door of his house which is only a few yards away. He crawls to the door and pulls himself up to unlock it. As the door opens he falls into it, flat onto his face again. 'Begorrah' he says and crawls up the stairs to bed. He pulls himself back up to his feet as he reaches the bedroom door. He opens the door and again falls flat onto his face and falls fast asleep. The next morning his wife comes in and wakes him. 'Jaysus Paddy you were well pissed last night', she says. 'How'd you know that' he answers. 'Mick from the pub just rang, you left your wheelchair in the pub'.
