POLICE are investigating a threat of violence against a contestant in the reality television series Big Brother.
The threat to harm 22-year-old West Australian housemate Elle was made in a telephone call to Channel Ten's studio in Perth earlier this week.
WA Police today confirmed that detectives in Albany were investigating the call and had taken a statement from a witness.
According to a spokesman for Big Brother, the female caller made serious threats to Elle's wellbeing. The caller claimed Elle had been talking about her in the house.
A review of video tapes by Big Brother staff failed to find any of the conversations referred to in the threat.
