Actually those features aren't really connected with finns that often. We're often thought of as grumpy, silent and unsocial, which isn't really true. I don't think cultural difference really explains it, the people in the Big Brother Finland house are just picked quite well. I understood that the people in the last two series is Britain were intentionally picked so that they would irritate each other and there were quite the big number of people that could be considered not very main stream. The producers were obviously looking for tension and fights which provoked a lot of discussion in the press and on forums. I guess they got what they wanted then.

Probably quite true all what you say. I personally dont know much about Finland so I'll do my homework before I say anything else about your country, lol.

But at the end of the day everyone, in any country, all suffer the same emotions and way of thinking. TV producers, on the other hand, belong to a whole different species of hairless ape to the rest of us.

We have learnt to know that people abroad have weird believes about Finland and about Finns. I agree with Liisi that HMs in first Finnish BB is picked well. And I agree with you that every human being suffers the same emotions and way of thinking! There are some Finns that don't have great social manners or are violent and don't know how to keep calm - like in any other country as well. Back in history we have had for example our Ostrobothnian knifers.
