As you probably are aware and/or are not interested in knowing, US Big Brother has not only started in the US, but also over here. According to Channel 4 that's thanks to a "lack of scheduling conflicts meaning that this year it's able to be broadcast" - but I think we can equally ascribe it to a general sense of, "Oh no, we have to get people interested in Big Brother again before the summer starts or we're jiggered".

That's a little unfair of the Guardian...

Fact is, C4, Sky and others are also victims of the Writer's Strike in the US. New shows that perhaps would have started showing are still held-up in production or have been postponed until the late summer... hence the reason BB:US itself was moved forward in the US.

Personally speaking, given the wealth of foreign BB and its relative cheapness to buy in, C4 have shown remarkably little interest in showing any of them.
