Big Brother Mzansi is here!

Image

Hosted by Lungile Radu, Big Brother Mzansi will be available live24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198 though ALL the live Sunday shows (including the launch and the finale) will be screened exclusively on Mzansi Magic. Also on Mzansi Magic - the weekly nomination show every Monday (21:30), the daily highlights shows from Tuesdays to Fridays (21:30) and a round-up of the week’s highlights every Saturday (17:00).

Packed with 102 microphones and 62 cameras, an all-new Big Brother house will be a home away from home for over a dozen housemates, each hoping that the show’s viewing audience will vote them the winner of the R 1 million cash prize! Also, BIG BROTHER MZANSI will not be an English only series. Given that this is a 100% South African version of Big Brother, and South Africa has 11 official languages, housemates can speak in any of these languages although Big Brother himself will primarily communicate in English and English sub-titles will appear on the daily shows on the Mzansi Magic channel.

For those viewers new to Big Brother format, this is how it works. A group of ordinary individuals, chosen from thousands of hopefuls, will live together in a specially constructed house, isolated from the outside world, watched 24/7 by viewing audiences across the country. At regular intervals housemates will nominate each other for eviction. The housemates who get the most nominations will have to survive a viewer vote. If they don’t, they’re evicted out of the game instantly. Only the last person remaining at the end will take home the mega jackpot. Along the way Big Brother, that infamous and legendary character at the centre of it all, will no doubt be introducing his own twists and turns into the game.

So from challenging tasks and tense nominations to weekly parties and emotional evictions, expect drama and lots of it. Add to this the possibility for love, laughs and a truly life-changing experience, and the stage is set for a hugely entertaining edition of the hit global reality TV series, Mzansi style!

Big Brother Mzansi ‘Secrets’ launched

AFTER 12 years of silence, Big Brother Mzansi with a cultivating theme “Secrets” was launched last Sunday2 February at 19:00with interesting twists within the two hours not waiting for the following day.

The latest South African edition of the hit reality show that will not take the traditional 91 days but 63 to reveal the winner looks promisingly entertaining especially for the indigenous South Africans or those that understand the Mzansi languages.

It seems Big Brother is not putting a restriction of English only in the house as many are heard speaking their mother tongue languages.

With this fact, one wonders if the Big Brother Mzansi will receive that religious viewership from other countries though looking at how the game is progressing, a captivating, surprising and intriguing moment might just be Big Brothers secrets.

Big Brother himself introduced host Lungile Radu who quickly got down to the tasks of the day…revealing the Big Brother house, the new Big Brother housemates and a whirlwind of surprises. Along the way, top South African performers took to the stage on a night of action, drama and secrets!

With a R 1 million cash prize on offer for the ultimate winner, Big Brother Mzansi secrets got off to a flying start when popular kwaito house band Uhuru, featuring Oskido, thrilled audience with their runaway hit Ytjukutja.

The all new Big Brother house, featuring a stylish garden, living area, bathroom, open-plan kitchen, diary room, storeroom and two communal bedrooms, the house is decked out in beautiful brown earth tones, with splashes of white, wood and glass finishes and indigenous plants featured throughout.
