BB FANS

Well, I can't say enough good things about BB USA. Having seen the original BigBrother when I lived in Amsterdam for a year, this is far more like the creators of the format originaly indented for it. Quite frankly, just going by the history of sports competition in the UK, they should have figured out that BB UK was a really bad idea.

So, why do I think it's so good ?
Ok.....

1. No audience participation. That means no stupid teenagers or bored housewives voting because they think: "Oooh.. he's fit." And believe me, I've seen the demographics on BB2 & 3, and they are the larger majority of the voters. If you want to shout at anyone for Cam the sham winning.... shout at them. It's their f*cking fault.

2. No wanabees. These guys/gals aren't in it for the fame. Celebrity status in the US is different to any other country in the world, simply because they have so many of them. These contestants don't need to behave like wanabees because there are so many easier ways to achieve fame over there.

3. Highly acclaimed production team. These peeps have worked on some of the biggest game shows ever, and again, the US comes up trumps when it comes to game shows. Very good editing, keeps you on the edge of your seat. Extremely good and original ideas for tasks/games.

BB4 UK was absolutely appalling in my opinion, like most things about this country. As I've said before, we're too prudish, too arrogant and too diluted.

I'm having a rant here and I don't care. You can reply to this message all you want. Slate me, whatever. Doesn't matter because I'm off to live in the USA for the foreseeable future ( just got my working visa through ). Time to live a more exciting lifestyle.

I have to disagree in the main.

I am sure a lot of people are enjoying the US BB at the moment but remember we are only seeing dramatised highlights at the moment.

From my point of view they are all already getting on my nerves as it's constant bitching and back biting by everyone meaning no one is actually likeable.

It's the growing of the relationships that I enjoy on our BB and getting to know the HM's....these people are not interested in each other just winning the money giving it a more mercenary, calculated feel. That is the worst part of BB and IMO I don't want to see this over here.

If we want this type of programme then create a new one but please leave our BB allow...just give us decent housesmates!

Krazyvader...I'm with you on this one, I think what you have said is spot on.

C4 could learn heaps from the Yanks. Stop pretending that ours is not really a game show but a psychological experiment. The USA call it like it is, a competetive fight till the end for a wad of cash.
