From last Sunday's People ...
'Every year Mum and Dad would take me and my brother Shaun on holiday to Tenerife. I'd gaze out to sea and fantasise about being rich and famous enough to buy a holiday home in the sun," remembers Claire Sweeney. For a girl from Walton, Liverpool, it seemed nothing more than a pipe dream. But now that dream looks set to become a reality for Claire, who was transformed from Brookside's Lindsey Corkhill to the nation's sweetheart thanks to her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother two years ago. Claire's back on our screens on Saturday week hosting BBC1's new eight- part gameshow, Here Comes The Sun, where every week two families battle it out to win a life timeshare in a Spanish apartment. Looking tanned and relaxed after her two months spent filming on Spain's Costa del Sol, Claire, 31, says she's serious about her own luxury dreamhouse.
"While we were filming I got property details and I've got my heart set on the idea now. Some of the apartments were just beautiful. It's always been a dream of mine - now I can finally do it."
