Big Brother ratings slump after John evicted
Viewing figures for Celebrity Big Brother have slumped since the departure of John McCririck.
Only 3.3 million tuned in to see last night’s highlights show on Channel 4.
It was beaten by an Auschwitz documentary on BBC2, which was watched by 3.9 million.
The Big Brother audience was 700,000 down on Monday night’s show when racing pundit McCririck was evicted.
His sexist rantings and temper tantrums had kept viewers hooked.
The launch show attracted an audience of 5.2 million and ratings have held steady at four million and above until now.
Last week 4.3 million tuned in to see Germaine Greer’s walkout.
Ratings should pick up tonight when Big Brother bosses stage a surprise eviction.
One of the celebrity housemates will be called into the Diary Room and told they are being booted out, as happened to Stuart in Big Brother 5.
Viewers have been voting for who they want to win and the person with the least voted will be ditched tonight as the housemates enjoy a children’s party.
The housemates have been asked to make their eviction nominations today - unaware that they will count for nothing.
DJ Lisa I’Anson is the bookies’ favourite to be evicted.
