Ham and High
JOHN McCririck, Primrose Hill's very own Celebrity Big Brother star, says he has little interest in his neighbours or the leafy streets of his neighbourhood.
When Heathman nervously approached the horse racing guru for an interview, McCririck ordered him gruffly to get on with it and said he was busy.
And he turned down our offer to stand as mayor of Primrose Hill, a post proposed by near neighbour and former Times editor Simon Jenkins.
Mr McCririck, who lives in Albert Terrace Mews, was clearly still seething following his eviction from the Big Brother house and said: "I don't get involved in local politics at all. I just live here and I am not interested in people in Primrose Hill.
"I don't go out much here and I suspect that people round here are like the rest of the public, they just hate me and loathe me.
"Of course, I don't mind people hating me. They all voted me out, but that's up to them."
Mr McCririck's views are perhaps unsurprising. He has admitted to being a "deeply unpleasant person" and having "views that are deeply unacceptable to some people".
