Goldie says he used to shoplift from Burton Menswear - the fashion chain he is to be the new face of.
The Celebrity Big Brother star has signed up to front its latest advertising campaign, and will appear on billboards from the end of the month.
But he says that by agreeing to helping out with the ad, he is giving something back to the store.
"It's ironic because I used to shoplift from Burton years ago, so I like to think this is my way of putting something back," he told the Dailly Express.
"I really wanted to annoy my son because he works in River Island in Wolverhampton, dead opposite Burton. He's going to have these huge posters of me watching over him all day."
