For this week’s shopping task, housemates have entered the wonderful world of the Wizard of Oz.



Amy, the scarecrow, just completed her quiz in the garden. Despite the pigeon’s best efforts to distract her, she managed to score 6/10, proving she has brains, and therefore passed her part of the Wizard of Oz shopping task.

This afternoon Big Brother gave the cowardly lion, Pamela, a test to prove her courage. After calling her into the diary room, Big Brother sent her through to the small task room where she was met by the Wizard of Oz himself… played by professional magician David Penn.

The Wizard of Oz placed four wooden circular bases on the table along with four polystyrene cups. He then took out a metal spike and a blindfold.

Pamela was asked to place the metal spike on one of the four bases and then to cover all four bases with the cups. Blindfolded, she chose one cup from the four which was put to one side before having to slam her hand down on all other cups whilst her fellow housemates watched in shock on the plasma screens.

Because Pamela was brave enough to slam her hand on the cups and because she correctly chose the cup with the spike in to put to one side, she successfully passed her part of the task.

The housemates will be gathered later and told whether or not they have passed the Wizard of Oz shopping task.
