Feature: Three is the magic number

We'll be subtracting two from our unfortunate pool of potential evictees this evening.

Who that unlucky pair will be is, as usual, entirely down to you. Before Brian struts his stuff and dishes out the bad news, we're scratching our heads and pondering which twosome's set to be dropped from the show this evening. We've been weighing up the odds to try and ascertain who's lost the most ground in the public's favour.

We'll be honest – we're flummoxed. We've weighed up each of their pros and cons and, as far as we can tell the trio's neck and neck.

Check it out:

Coleen

Somewhat in Julie's shadow for the majority of her time in the House, Coleen's been seen by a few social media keyboard-tappers as something of a moaning Minnie. She's arguably the most emotional of the housemates, or at least she lets it show more than others. She's made no secret of the fact she finds Julie's 'Queen Bee' status worrying and it caused her to slip into the background more than she might, admitting that it left her without a role to fulfil in the House.

Since Day 15's face-to-face nominations, however, Coleen's seen a huge upsurge of support in the forums, on Twitter and from Facebook commenters. In her tearful, emotionally-charged post noms Diary Room she let it all out without holding back, damning Julie's approach to the game and, essentially, saying out loud what a lot of viewers are thinking.

Danica

Since Day One, Danica has divided opinion. Whether you reckon she was merely massaging a few egos, pushing flattery buttons to get ahead or if you think she's a sly manipulator who deserves her comeuppance, the simple fact is Miss Thrall has got a few backs up. The House-gang of Harvey, Ashley and The Situation were furious with her over what they saw as an engineered love triangle between herself, The Sitch and Lorenzo – and a sizable chunk of the audience are with them on that.

But then again, Lorenzo (a slightly more mature corner of that triangle) has no issue with Danica's gallivanting and has even implied that it's more The Sitch's problem than anyone else's. It's fair to say that Danica's hardly broken any rules or moral codes, and the diatribes launched behind her back might seem to some to be disproportionate to any perceived offence. Julian's frequently stuck up for her (noting that The Situation's 'hardly the Virgin Mary himself) and, as far as votes go, she's made a mark and will have people voting to save because she's featured in so much drama.

Samantha

A real home-maker and tireless shoulder-to-cry on, it's only in recent days that our controversial columnist has started to get her claws out. Since being saved from eviction in Wednesday's public vote, she's started to live up to her name a little more. Working in league with Julie (who makes no bones about having a list of housemates to evict and tick off), she's more explicit in her disapproval of certain other housemates. Perhaps a stint as Apollo in the Gods and Mortals task set her off. Previously, we'd only seen traces of this attitude –when she sat for a minor gripe with Jasmine, for example. A little more of this and she may make more of a mark.

Though it may be a little late for that. There's only a week to go, and it's quite possible Samantha's been too anonymous to rouse a campaign in the public – most of who are wrapped up in the Coleen vs Julie saga or the Danica love triangle. When Brian reads out the names of those in line for the chop earlier this week, there were 'yay!'s and 'boo!'s for the others. When Samantha's name was called, there was no response at all. Not the most accurate gauge of popularity, admittedly. But also not the most encouraging reaction.

But what do we know? We're only watching this stuff 24/7 after all. Being involved with that level of monitoring means we're more sure than anyone that opinion can change after a single event, within a minute's notice. By tonight, it's anyone's shout which two of these three will be heading for the door.

And by 'anyone's shout', we mean YOURS! Don't forget to vote to save your fave. There's still plenty of time.

Day 17: Coleen's premature goodbye

Evictions – they're an odd thing. Not that we've ever been nominated by a group of relative strangers whilst being locked in a bungalow with multiple cameras, waiting as the general public vote whether to boot us out of our new digs. But regardless, we can imagine that it may put you on edge slightly.

And if you're predisposed to being a bit of a worry wart, like our loose woman Coleen, then evictions are definitely not going to be on your top 10 pleasant experiences of your life. So, suffice to say, the Nolan sister has been a bit jittery this afternoon. The impending eviction even seems to have made her question her own character. Sitting in the garden earlier today, she rationalised to The Situation:

"I've been questioning if I'm actually playing a game.... The other day I confirmed I wasn't because I would have been friends with you before, after you said how big your fan base is... but we've only really been friends over the last two days."

It's definitely a theory, but we're sure if you have to question whether you have a game plan, then surely you don't have one? Or maybe it's a double bluff? Or maybe she doesn't even know she has one? Who knows – we don't, she doesn't, do you?

One thing is certain, she's convinced that she'll be facing those steps tonight and has already started saying her goodbyes to some of the housemates.

Hugging The Situation and Ashley, she declared, "So glad we got to know each other, it's been fabulous whatever happens," before finding Danica in the bedroom and promising, "I'll be there, cheering to the end."

Ay, c'mon now, Cols. You still have 1/3 chance of staying – we agree the odds aren't stacked in your favour, but let's look on the bright side. If she's saved this evening, maybe it will finally give her the confidence she's been looking for in the House.

But, for now, she's getting glammed up in preparation with the other nominees, Samantha and Danica. Who will be saved tonight? You'll have to tune in at 9pm to find out!

Day 16

9:15am

Housemates awake following yesterday’s face to face nominations.

Lying beside Danica, Coleen is still reeling over Julie’s nomination. Danica continues to assert that Julie has never liked Coleen as Samantha claims that it will get harder in the house. Julie replies: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

In the kitchen, Coleen affirms that she will be having a “PJ day” as Julie declares: “I never thought it would be like this Coleen. That’s how naïve I am.”

3:24pm
Housemates are gathered on the sofas as Big Brother announces there has been a rule break. The spotlight is on The Situation as housemates are informed that he kept hold of three cards in his hand rather than two during face to face nominations. “You naughty boy,” Julian jokes as The Situation is told that he will not be allowed to nominate for the rest of his time in the house.

“That’s a great punishment,” Prince Lorenzo declares, as The Situation defends his actions and informs housemates that he did not stand up with three cards. Martin explains to The Situation that he has been punished as his nominations could have been influenced by other housemates. The Situation confesses: “I don’t like being punished,” as housemates laugh.

3.47pm
The Situation is in the diary room. He admits that he broke the rules. He says he kept his three cards because he didn't know if he could nominate Danica but his heart has got him into trouble.

Julian and Prince Lorenzo are in the smoking area. Julian opens up about his childhood and how he was bullied at school for being gay.

5.34pm
Julie and Colleen are in the bedroom. Julie says she likes Coleen's leopard print top. She goes on to say that all the big designers are working in leopard now. Coleen reveals that she also has the matching trousers as part of a lounge suit.

Samantha is in the diary room. She describes the atmosphere between Julie and Coleen as “frostily formal”. She claims that both women are wary of each other and has observed that there is “subtle tension” between Coleen and Julie.
Coleen, Julie and Danica are in the bedroom. Coleen asserts that she is going to lie down for five minutes as Julie walks into the toilet and mutters: “F**king tw*t.”

6.09pm
For today's task, the male housemates will devise ballet routines and female housemates will judge then. Ashley will be paired with Harvey, Prince Lorenzo will be dancing with The Situation, and Martin will be performing with Julian.

Housemates must devise a routine based on a statement said by another housemate during their time in the house.

As housemates prepare to perform, the judges take their places. Samantha asks Danica and Coleen: “Would it be offensive if I asked to sit next to Julie?” Danica and Coleen move along the table.

Each pair performs their ballet routine. The judges score Harvey and Ashley 35 points. Samantha brands their performance as “amazing”, Julie declares that she was “enthralled”, Danica awards top marks and Coleen affirms: “It was a marvellous performance.”

Prince Lorenzo and The Situation score 30 points for their performance. Finally it is Martin and Julian’s turn to perform for the judges. They perform to ‘You should have felt the impact of that pie in my f**king face and I would never do that. She nearly knocked my front teeth out.’ Judges award Martin and Julian with 37 points. Julie declares: “That totally blew me away,” as she awards the pair a top 10 mark.

With a total of 37, Martin and Julian have won and will therefore join the judges at the “winner’s party” later on that evening.

9:44pm
The female judges and winners Martin and Julian are in attendance at the ‘winner’s party’ where they have been provided with champagne and canapés. Coleen is unimpressed with the food that has been provided and Julie quips: “There is no pleasing.”

Julian takes to the dance floor with Danica as she attempts to waltz. Outside, Ashley jokes that Danica is being “dragged around” the dance floor and inside Julian quips: “It’s like dancing with a shopping trolley!” In the diary room, Julian continues to describe Danica as “a young colt that hasn’t been trained yet” on the dance floor.

In the diary room Julian declares: “Coleen is more like a stately stallion compared to Danica on the dance floor. She knows her moves.” Finally, Julie and Julian hit the dance floor. Julian remarks: “Dancing with Julie is like making love to a beautiful woman,” and confesses that she is the better dancer out of Danica and Coleen. “She is the best mover!” Julian claims before adding: “She can do things with her hips that I have never seen before. I was aroused; I’m not going to pretend that I wasn’t.”

10:06pm
The Situation is observing his fellow housemates dancing. He is encouraged by Danica to dance and The Situation responds by flexing his pecks in time to the music. Attracting attention from the party-goers, Julie brands his talent as “incredible”.

In the garden, Coleen is taking a break from the party. She is assuring Prince Lorenzo that she did not pie Julie in the face forcefully and describes Julie’s comment as “playground”.

11:12pm
In the bedroom, Prince Lorenzo is talking to Samantha about Danica. Prince Lorenzo declares that he “enjoys Danica as a housemate”.

Julie and Julian are discussing Coleen’s dislikes. “She doesn’t like the cheese, she doesn’t like the salmon, she doesn’t like olives,” Julian quips. Martin decides to leave the smoking area where Julie and Julian are discussing Coleen: “I’m going to see what they’re doing in the kitchen,” he asserts and Julian comments: “They’re making a mess!”

“Nana you’ve lasted 15 days,” Harvey declares to Julie. Julie confesses that she is shocked that she has lasted so long in the house.

"Who was it who said they booed the winner?" Julie asked.

This is Julie who keeps saying she cant believe she is still in the house, but after the shock - and yes, I do believe she was genuinely, shocked when she heard the baying mob - last night she looked and sounded like someone had removed her batteries, I will not feel an ounce of sympathy for the nasty old bird and hope Coleen doesn't fall into complacency... :eek: :-( {@}

:-( :-( :-( :-( Danica is out. I thought she did really well in her interview and she proved that everything I had said about her was true.

I thought that Sam came across rather nasty and what she said about Danica was nasty and untrue. Also, she got 'The Situation' and Julie all wrong, so you can't really believe anything she writes in future. She thought that Danica was playing a game and 'The Situation' definitely wasn't! Totally the wrong way round.

Last night when they went to the house after Danica had been evicted, we saw 'The Situation' talking to Julie. He was saying 'it's just a game' and he didn't seem at all upset that Danica had gone (I imagine he will be though, because it must be hard not to when you have lived closely with someone 24/7).

Danica the only "real" person, along with Coleen and Julia, imo in the house, was finally edited out of the house last night. I was sad to see her go because I think she is a genuine nice person but her choice of career was used by certain houses, and BB, to insult, moralize and therefore feel superior and justified in how they treated her. All while a forty and a thirty year old male housemates lusted and challenged each other over her never taken into account her having a boyfriend watching their every underhanded move - they flirted with her, tried to impress her with their wealth/high profile life style and the worst thing in the Situation case glamored her into thinking as he does with all his sexual conquests that he loved her...
So who was used!? In my honest opinion it was Danica. She will now see that the weasel Harvey and the weasel Ashley also used her and any women watching the show [Only young and fit ones mind ] should run a mile in any direction to stay out of their clutches.
Samantha. What a piece of work she is, it is no surprise she loves Julie, like with like as my dear old dad used to say, Sam really does believe she is the most beautiful female in the village - she is more like a village idiot but dangerous with it. Her views are taken from a male misogynistic hand book, but then we can probable understand why; because lets face it would she ever have a man if she did not cow-down-to-him?

Martin, Harvey, Ashley and Julie needs to consider, after last nights booing of Julie, they might have seen and heard things from their seeing eye in the task but we are on a higher plain and we see and hear their plotting and maneuvering and it aint gonna wash with us, lads, your cards have been marked.

BBBOTS. I thought Danica was lovely in both her interviews last night. Her honesty/willingness to admit she may have taken her flirting too far was only because she firmly believes that the men in question had honorable feelings for her, we know that only one of them, Lorenzo does and the other one doesn't and was using her in the hope she would become a friend with benefits in the house, as was Ashley with Rhain.
Sam saying she can overlook a mans vulgarity because he is an Olympian, reality TV star, ex soap star or has a title passed down to him from a power hungry Pope says all you need to know about her moral compass. :puke:

Sam is being totally different now outside the house to what she was in the house. I can only hope that anyone who spent money trying to keep her in, now regret it. I also would like to think that some people who were against Danica, have now had their minds changed, but I doubt it.
