I used to really like Davina but I think she is wearing a bit thin now. She looks fantastic personality wise she is just so 'samey' all the time :-?

Out Of The Blue

There was a sense of unease in the House tonight as the group turned in for an early night a little bemused by the lack of nominations.

Caprice, Lisa and Kenzie were all tucked in by 10 and began to speculate over Big Brother's silence. Without John's voice booming about the place, the bedroom seemed ominously quiet. "No nominations, no nothing," said a spooked Caprice. "So bizarre."

Lisa agreed she had expected another round of nominations too, but thought it was bound to happen tomorrow. ""Yeah, they're probably going to drop a bomb tomorrow," murmured Caprice.

Struck by a thought

But then a thought suddenly struck Kenzie. "I swear on BB5 one of them got evicted out of the blue," he blurted out.

The girls gasped as they remembered the surprise eviction and realised they could be chucked out at any moment.

That thought will probably keep them awake for a while. Ch4

Sleepless In Elstree

It was like Piccadilly Circus in the bedroom last night as the anxious housemates wandered around like sleepless zombies throughout the early hours.

Perhaps it was the unsettling pre-bedtime chat that had the housemates in a spin. Before dropping off to sleep the team had shared horror stories about shock evictions in Big Brothers past and feared that the all-seeing-eye might have a nasty surprise in store for them too.

Brigitte and Lisa were both wide-awake around 3am. The first time eviction nominees took it in turns to pop out to the toilet missing each other by minutes.

And though Brigitte settled back fairly quickly into her fractured sleep, Lisa lay starring out into the night for almost an hour. Perhaps she was thinking up new jokes to try out on the housemates the next day? We do hope not.

Bez's saucer eyes have been a familiar night-time feature since the start of the series. The less than able sleeper can often be seen peering out from beneath his covers like a startled rabbit as he tries to court sleep. And last night was no different.

Could he be thinking of the coming eviction, and whether he will survive the public vote a second time? But by dawn, all sleepy six were contentedly counting the zeds.

Sleep tight little housemates, who knows what the new day will bring...

John, But Not Forgotton

It might have only been one and a half days since House heavyweight John's departure, but it seems he's still cropping up in conversation. And surprisingly, some of the housemates are missing the old rascal.

Kenzie was full of warmth for the acerbic commentator in a late night Diary Room entry. "I'll miss John, straight up," he told Big Brother, describing how the voluble gent had been something of a mentor to him.

"John pulled me over and [told me to] get on well with everyone, don't drink and don't swear," Kenzie recalled. A case of 'do as I say, not as I do' for Mr McCririck we think?

"I liked John. In his own funny way he was an alright man," Bez told housemates in the kitchen earlier that evening.

But not everyone has been so quick to pull on his or her rose tinted specs.

"I'm glad he's gone," Lisa said firmly. "You could learn a lot from everyone in here, except John," she added.

And Brigitte has told Big Brother that the housemates are much closer now that they don't have to "tiptoe around John".

But though John might have been a nightmare to live with the housemates will miss their main scapegoat next time something unsavoury happens.

Jeremy has been particularly concerned that, with John gone, suspicion will fall on him should a large poo be found in the loo.

"We can't blame it on John now," the notorious toilet bandit told fellow "phantom logger" Kenzie.

On the plus side, there'll be whole lot more diet cola-based soft drinks to go around!
