‘NOT ONLY IN ESSEX’


Yesterday evening, Big Brother called Kirk into the diary room and set him a geographical task. He was asked to locate cities that share their name with places in Essex, across the world on a map provided. If successful, Kirk would win a party for all of the housemates.

Kirk was unaware that his fellow housemates were watching his progress on the TV screen in the living area.

1) ESSEX, UK
Kirk correctly placed the flag in Essex, UK

2) BRAINTREE, USA
Kirk placed the flag for Braintree, USA in Russia – therefore failing

3) GRANGE HILL, JAMAICA
Kirk placed the flag for Grange Hill, Jamaica in South America – therefore failing

4) CHELMSFORD, AUSTRALIA
Kirk placed the flag for Chelmsford, Australia in South Africa – therefore failing

5) COLCHESTER, SOUTH AFRICA
Kirk placed the flag for Colchester, South Africa in Canada – therefore failing

6) NEW PORT, CANADA
Kirk placed the flag for New Port, Canada in Russia – therefore failing

Kirk only managed to select one location and therefore failed the task.

I can't believe how badly Kirk did in this task, but it was quite funny to watch though.

How can a person leave school in this country and not be able to pick out the USA on a map!?! :eek:

Or Australia! And to think I thought that I was bad at Geography!!
