Day 18: Girl’s night!

With the men all napping, the ladies decided to have a bit of a girl’s night in the lounge. Gossiping, laughing and generally having a good time, the girls all seemed to be getting along swimmingly. This mood though was not to last...

As Big Brother played music for the ladies the spirits were high. There were smiles all round as Denise, Karissa, Kristina and Nicola danced away. With Denise’s next little prank though, the atmosphere was about to take a turn for the worse. As Karissa danced Denise jokingly tugged on Karissa’s trousers. Karissa smiled at first as did her twin sister. Karissa very quickly told Kristina “I don’t know if I’m cool with that!” Karissa continued to stress to the others that she wasn’t comfortable with Denise tugging at her trousers. Denise tried to apologise and laugh it off “saying it was only meant in fun,” but Karissa was having none of it.

The situation escalated and by soon Nicola and Frankie had got involved. Frankie told Karissa that it was obviously for fun. Nicola tried to make Karissa go outside to diffuse the row but Denise continued to press Karissa to which Nicola replied “Do me a favour, if you want it to kick off then I’ll let her back in!” Frankie told Nicola and Karissa to stop shouting to which Karissa replied “You’re an 18 year old boy!” Frankie didn’t back down, telling Karissa “Just talk, it makes everything a lot easier.” The argument continued to spiral. Nicola exclaimed “I was a page three girl for a lot of years, and you flash your boobs openly on telly and you’re cool with that? I’m not!”

In the heat of moment Denise told Nicola “I’ve had a lot of things I’ve wanted to say to you in the House!” To which Nicola responded “say it!” Denise said that she wouldn’t say anything because she’s not like Nicola. Denise was quick to correct her statement as it sounded rather rude, but it was too late. “I’m not comfortable with showing my body on telly!” Nicola said. Denise replied “Well I’m not comfortable with you pressing the buzzer without consulting anyone else whether they want their letters from home or not!” Earlier in the week as part of a task Nicola had pressed a buzzer meaning that her team would receive letters from home, but Denise’s team wouldn’t. By now the emotions were really flying high. Nicola tried to ask Gareth for his view but he firmly told her that he refuses to take sides.

I’m not!” This from the 30-year-old mother of two who poses herself, just so, [ for her male fans] half naked all over the DR chair any chance she gets trying to take the high on the moral ground in an argument with one of her "so called" best friends in the house! GIVE ME A BREAK!!! she is an opportunist who is after a double page spread in Playboy - [where she would be willing to show more then her boobs] only possible with the help from her twin partners in crime.

Day 18: The wrong trousers Housemates are beginning to come to terms with tonight’s events. It all started with a case a case of the wrong trousers. Denise’s little trouser prank had served as a catalyst for all kinds of rows to break out. If there was ever an elephant in the room in the BB House then by now the elephant was dancing on its tip toes whilst juggling fire. No one could avoid it. It had all started when Denise jokingly tugged on playboy model Karissa’s trousers which didn’t go down too well (the prank, not the trousers). Karissa felt uncomfortable and before long Nicola had jumped head first into the argument. As Denise defended the nature of her prank, Frankie came to her aid. In a nut shell Frankie said relax, but was shouted down almost immediately which only made things worse. Conversation soon turned to the buzzer task in which Nicola pressed a buzzer so that her team would win their letters from home, meaning that the other team would not. Denise in this case was in the opposing team and was not happy about it. The twins became very annoyed with Frankie for joining team Denise, and by now a whole range of old arguments were unearthed again. Gareth and Romeo did their best to stay out of things whilst Michael was in agreement with the twins. Michael expressed how disheartening it was to see Gareth the “man mountain” say that he was upset. The housemates are now sleeping. What will the mood in the House be like tomorrow? Only time will tell!

Day 19: It's good to talk Last night's events have been all that is on anyone's minds today, as tension rose all morning and silence dominated the air. However, as the day has developed, the housemates have gradually been forming pockets of conversations and seemingly making efforts to clear the air with one another... A short while ago, Nicola and Denise sat down to have a talk on the living room sofas. They started to discuss some of the issues they had with one another, with Nicola saying Denise had aired some the things she'd told Denise in confidence and Denise saying that she felt Nicola had handled the buzzer task (in which she had to decide who received letters from home and chose herself) in a selfish manner. The conversation ended abruptly, as Nicola left the room to have a moment to herself in the bathroom. An hour or so later, the two caught up again - this time in the garden. Denise apologised to Nicola for betraying her trust, but also explained that she felt Nicola had sided with the twins since Natalie's departure. Nicola claimed that she has always had Denise's back and that she felt really hurt by Denise's words, as well as Frankie's. The chat, though emotional, seemed to loosen the two of them up and they left the conversation on positive terms. In other House ties, Romeo sat down to speak to the twins earlier this afternoon, where he tried to put things into perspective for them. He said that these kinds of situations do arise when people are in an unnatural environment, experiencing things that they wouldn't in the outside world. The twins seemed to agree with his ethics, but still didn't seem forgiving of Denise at that stage. They later discussed between the two of them that "an apology isn't enough". Things seem to be loosening up in the House, but not all ties are repaired. Whether or not the twins will forgive and forget is yet to be established. They've managed to convince themselves to ride it out, but will they carry on the drama of last night with them?
