Never one to shy away from the media glare, Alex Reid has proposed to Chantelle Houghton live on television.

Despite only dating for seven months, and both having failed marriages behind them, the cage-fighter popped the question tonight.

Surrounded by a rather unromantic setting of a studio audience, Katie Price's former flame, 36, asked the Celebrity Big Brother princess on Irish programme The Saturday Night Show
