‘HOUSEMATES' HOT TOPICS’




For today’s task Coleen will host the brand new daytime chat show, 'Housemates' Hot Topics'. Joining her on the panel will be her female housmates - Danica, Samantha and Julie.

The ladies will be discussing some hot topics:

TOPIC 1
SAMANTHA’S VIEWS ON A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE.
Samantha wrote: “Independence, a career, who needs them? A husband who prizes your looks not your mind is the key to a happy marriage”.
Is being a trophy wife the way to keep your man happy?
Samantha has also written:
About her husband “I ask his permission before booking a hair appointment and discuss with him what I will have done.”
“There are down sides to being pretty. The main one being that other women hate me for no other reason than my lovely looks.”

TOPIC 2
DANICA’S ATTITUDE TO FLIRTING.
Before entering the house she said “I love flirting with men and women – I can’t help myself. I often get my boobs out.”
So is flirting fine when you’ve got a boyfriend?

TOPIC 3
DISCUSS WHETHER HONESTY REALLY IS THE BEST POLICY?
Coleen’s said “It’s lies and loss of trust that keeps you awake at night.”
So is honesty really the best policy?

TOPIC 4
THEY DON’T MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TO.
Julie’s been in show business for the past 50 years.
How would you compare current celebrities with the people you started out with in your career?


The rest of the housemates will form the studio audience.

Day 17: The hot topic hot potato


They say never a truer word is spoken in jest - and today's 'fun' task certainly seemed to prove this adage.

Coleen slipped into her show hosting shoes, heading up the panel on daytime talk show, 'Hot topics'. The four ladies discussed some of the gritty issues affecting housemates – marriage, flirting, celebrity and honesty, to be precise.

While appearing to be acting up for the cameras, Coleen successfully aired all her concerns about Sam's attitude to marriage and that article, saying, "I think you are saying that if you don’t do the things you do, your marriage won’t work," before closing with, "I think you have done a good job and standing up for what you believe in." We might say that was a touch patronising, but we daren't.

The boys formed the audience, whooping and cheering, particularly when Sam said, "What’s wrong with looking good for your husband? I’d never whack a meal in the microwave."

When conversation shifted to the subject of flirting, Coleen stood firmly by Danica, saying that making eyes at another man when you have a partner is acceptable. She continued, "My husband would think it was fine if I was lying in bed with Harvey because he would know I didn’t fancy him." Harvey neglected to comment on this

Danica managed to get a dig in, saying on the topic of celebrity, "If we were to line up in order of celebrity, I would be at the end, probably with you Samantha. I personally wouldn’t call myself celebrity. I’m here to add something a little bit different to the House."

Big Brother was suitably satisfied with the girls efforts and has rewarded them with a luxury pamper hamper. A girly night in could be just what they need...
