Day 1 round-up
Ch5 - more news and video clips with this link

After thirteen entrances spread across a two-hour launch show we had our complete celeb line-up. We have beauties, an Olympian and a golden slice of British music history. Why not get properly acquainted with the new housemates by watching their pre-House interviews. Let Digital introduce Ashley McKenzie, Cheryl Fergison, Coleen Nolan, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Danica Thrall, MC Harvey, Julian Clary, Julie Goodyear, Jasmine Lennard, Prince Lorenzo Borghese, Martin Kemp, Rhian Sugden and Samantha Brick.

Characteristically, BB had an ace up its sleeve in the form of a secret task. The first two into the House happened to be soap legends. Hev off EastEnders and Bet Lynch off Corrie – or Cheryl Fergison and Julie Goodyear to call them their actual birth names – were told to act their socks off creating soap levels of drama with fabricated storylines fed to them through earpieces. Poor Harvey consoled Cheryl who told him in tears about Julie’s fictitious affair with her husband while Rhian looked mildly bemused at Julie’s dark warnings about the men in this House.

The drama came to a head with a scene that could have happened in The Queen’s Return (see what we did?) – A drink was thrown and a task won. Jellied eels all round! No thanks, said some of the housemates. Charitably Big Brother also laid on drinks and non-eel-based foodstuffs. Good show, soap legends.

As this task wound down, so did our housemates. It’s been dinner-party style getting-to-know yous all over the place with Prince Lorenzo seeming notably baffled by proceedings. He’d taken the precaution of watching EastEnders but still didn’t have the foggiest who Hev was. That’s cause Hev’s dead, baby. Hev’s dead...

The Situation got real about his past, Lairy Clary made innuendos like he’s paid for them (wait... ) and both MC Harvey and judo-licious, Ashley sniffed around page three stunner, Rhian.

That’s quite enough for day one. Day two however... we’ll keep you posted.

Day 2 round-up
Ch5 - more news and video clips with this link

After only one full day in the Big Brother facility, our freshly packaged celebrity housemates have wasted no time whatsoever in making their mark.

With characters like this, it was bound to happen. We've got a right mixed bag on our hands this summer and fireworks were pretty much guaranteed. Thankfully, so far they've all been the lovely, admirable kind of pyrotechnics we can all stand back and gasp at rather than the bombshell bangers that go off when things get frosty. Day 2 saw a lot of laughs, a respectable amount of bonding and only the lightest moments of cattiness.

The day started with Rhian intriguing Harvey with the lowdown on the dreams that bumbled through her unconscious before she woke from her slumber. Those weren't the only morning tales being told either. To celebrate all this info-sharing and to pay tribute to our sleepy-heads' fine sartorial stylings, we published a gallery of our celebs in their PJs.

After bleary heads had shaken out the dust, Harvey got a judo lesson from Ashley that he may never forget. Meanwhile, in the bathroom, our Prince Charming Lorenzo got a discretion lesson from Coleen and Cheryl that he may well value for the rest of his time in the House.

Cheryl was on a comic roll all day and seems to have taken to the hot-tub and pool like a confirmed water baby. She spent a fair portion of her time in aquatic mode mocking Big Brother – and there was much laughter. After Big Brother ejected them from the garden for his own devious purposes, housemates were forced to make their own entertainment, which is just what they did. It quickly became clear who in the House are doing their best in forging new friendships.

Soon enough it was task time. The Moment Of Truth was an ostensibly inoffensive game of Guess The Housemate History, but the revelations made could effect a few relationships as the show goes on. As it turned out, players Julian and The Situation actually failed the task, but nobody seemed too annoyed.

As the day began to wind down, Martin chatted to Jasmine and Harvey about his spooky, paranormal experiences and all agreed that there's more to life than the three dimensional humdrum. Elsewhere, after the task had aired it openly, Cheryl and Samantha talked about the newspaper article that had caused her so much aggravation. While all that went down, both Lorenzo and The Situation had their own separate love-fails.

Jasmine had something to say about the latter's shaky love attempt. Actually, it's fair to say that Jasmine has a fair amount to say about a lot of topics. She's part of the garden crew – made up of Coleen, Lorenzo, Harvey and Jasmine - that's slowly developing (as tends to happen). While bed-headed Julian and Julie griped about bedtime, the crew talked into the night about the celebrity spectrum, their own insecurities and went into depth about various life experiences. And they also talked about Danica, not knowing what to make of their new housemate.

In fact, they were still up past the 2:00am mark nattering about stuff. Perhaps they've all found friends for life?

Alliances don't half form fast in the Big Brother House.

Day 3: Jasmine erupts after face-to-face nominations

To say that Jasmine has not taken the news that – together with Rhian who also received three votes – she is facing the public vote is an understatement. Her immediate response was to storm outside for a shocked debrief with a comparatively composed Rhian. She was particularly unsettled to receive a vote from Martin.

"I put so much time and effort into him," she wailed.

Martin and Prince Lorenzo tried separately to explain their reasons only to be batted away like the most intolerable of pests.

With Jasmine uninterested in hearing his princely justifications, Lorenzo cornered Julian. "I think she feels betrayed," muttered Loz, who had spent a serious hour listening to Jasmine’s life story the previous night.

It seems that, in a terrible palava of a mix-up, he thought Jasmine wanted to go home to her son.

Coleen, whose two votes were justified by 'think of the children!' was busy calling 'bulls**t' on that logic. She thinks people that use it are trying to appear sympathetic to the public.

Martin made a second manful attempt to diffuse Jasmine’s woe, repeating, "It's only a game."

"It's not a game to me!" said Jasmine, before retiring to the bathroom for a proper blub.

Who should step into the ring at this point of emotional drama? That would be House Princess Sam, justifying her crown with soothing words. However the real heavyweight drive to make Jasmine feel better was spearheaded by Julie. The matriarch of soap stepped into the situation assuring the distraught nominee,

"I happen to adore you and you know it. Come on girl."

The pair then trooped off to the Diary Room for a long session with BB. The Corrie legend delivered a series of touching embraces while Jasmine’s mood progressively lifted.

Phew, with all those fireworks it was easy to forget that there’s another person up for eviction. Rhian had a discreet weep while sitting in a circle of dazed housemates in the garden.

We have not seen the end of this evening’s drama. Even as we type hostility between Jasmine and The Prince and Jasmine and Danica is bubbling away. Stay tuned to the website to find out when these tensions boil over...

Jasmine takes no prisoners

After last night’s nomination bombshell, Jasmine got a little...agitated. The housemates hoped that she would have slept off the anger. They should be so lucky...

Waking up early to discuss the events of last night, Jasmine insisted that she "can't remember" most of it, but has spent the morning making sure nobody else forgets.

She started by trying to bond with fellow nominee Rhian, giving her a big hug in a we're-in-this-together kind of way, saying "if someone said to me, what's your worst situation? Well, this would be it." Rhian, who seems to be dealing with nominations better than Jasmine, tried to reassure her, and it seemed to work, with Jasmine deciding that "we just need to have a really good time."

We can't argue with that, but it seems that Jasmine's idea of a good time is to make Danica cry. Minutes after telling Rhian "I make a huge effort to be nice" she gave Danica a real tongue-lashing, saying "I don't like escorts." As Danica sought solace in the smoking area with Harvey and Rhian, Coleen tried to reason with Jasmine. No apology was forthcoming, but there does appear to be an uneasy truce of avoidance between Jas'n'Dan...

Of course, the other housemates have been talking about this whole thing pretty much non-stop, with Martin telling Lorenzo "I was honestly surprised- I thougt the majority of pictures coming out [in the face to face nominations] would be Jasmine's."

It's not all doom and gloom, though, Jasmine appears to have forgiven Martin for nominating her. She even said "I still love you, Martin Kemp" so she must have meant it: surname usage is serious business.

Maybe tomorrow she'll say "I still love you, Danica Thrall"...but we won't hold our breath.

That just shows that she is not being herself then. If she is having to make an effort to be nice, it obviously doesn't come naturally. She must be a horrible person, if she has to make a huge effort to be nice!!

Day 5: Rhian is frustrated by Jasmine
Ch5 - more news and video clips with this link

Crikey, these celebs are an active bunch. Take an eye off them for a moment and they shift loyalties. We suppose it’s understandable that in the early days of relationships, impressions swing on a word, but still... it’s as if this bunch ain’t fussed that we're huffing to keep up.

The word that swung it in the wee hours of last night was 'bitch'....

That's what Jasmine told Rhian she was acting like, consequent to Ashley’s declaration to her last night, covered in vivid detail here and here. Ah Jasmine, never lost for a tension-inducing opinion.

Rhian, it turns out, does not know how to handle such a forthright character. While the other housemates remained outside she had a confessional debrief with Danica inside. Looking baffled, she revealed to her fellow model that if it wasn’t for the fact that a guaranteed separation is in the pipeline, there would be serious issues between her and Jasmine.

She added that one of her flaws is that she doesn't always know how to express herself. Definitely, the opposite of Jasmine.

Danica seemed thrilled that Rhian, who had previously struck up a fragile 'we’re in this together'-style bond with co-nominee Jasmine, was turning. So Danica and Jasmine’s earlier bonding session meant nothing as well then?

On a positive note, it seems like the glamour girls are properly tight. "You're like my little sister!"said” Danica before giving 'li'l sis' (who is older than her) a hug.

Phew. Let’s see how the Rhian/Danica/Jasmine relationship triangle plays out today. For the sake of our frazzled brains let’s hope there aren’t any more twists.

The loons among us should thank their lucky stars that there are so many nice people in this world - Jasmin has got away with her crap too long; she needs taken down a peg-or-two.

Day 5: Not very model behaviour

Ch5 - more of the days news with this link

Just as the housemates were about to turn in for the night, like the happy campers they were, all hell broke loose. Well, that may be a tad dramatic, but there was definitely unrest in the House as yet another row erupted between the glamour girls, Rhian and Jasmine.

In an effort to patch up their differences, Jasmine jumped into bed with Rhian to air their issues, but it didn't exactly go too well. As the girls discussed why they haven't been getting on over the last few days, Rhian confessed that she sometimes feels uncomfortable around the feisty model – which Jasmine didn't take too kindly to.

The disagreement quickly resulted in Jasmine stropping off to the garden, with Rhian left sitting woefully in the bedroom, being comforted by close friend Danica.

In her cross state, Jasmine then took umbrage with Harvey, who she accused of sniping at her on two separate occasions. However, the cool-headed rapper didn't rise to the accusation, telling Jasmine that she would probably rethink her statement when she was in a better mood.

The other housemates have a lot to say on the drama that has just unfolded, but it has fallen to Samanatha to calm down Jasmine, whilst Coleen has been giving Rhian advice on how to deal with the incident.

Can the voices of reason defuse the situation (for once not a pun)? We have full confidence in the self-appointed mother figures - if anyone can bring peace and harmony to the House, Sam and Col can.

Day 6: Talkin' all that Jas

It's a busy morning in the Celebrity Big Brother House, with our current crop of starry housemates currently fully immersed in the Big Spenders task.

Even though this latest activity's a full time pursuit, with our celebs forced to write cheques for pretty much everything they choose to do, they've still found time to chew over the topic du jour. Unsurprisingly given her slightly confusing behaviour since Day 2, that topic has been Jasmine, the model whose behaviour's kicked up something of a stink.

First to chat about the House's current firebrand were Rhian and Samantha. Miss Sugden felt the sharp edge of Jasmine's tongue on the evening of Day 5, and she went over it all again with Samantha, worrying about how Jasmine's manipulating her time in the Diary Room to make herself look a victim. Samantha told her not to worry, explaining that the sum of Jasmine's antics will tell their own story.

Meanwhile, Coleen and Danica spent some time in the smoking area digesting Jasmine's breakfast routine. They were most irked by her tendency to munch her meal then leave her plate at the kitchen table. "Even with everything else, I wish she'd at least take her tray to the sink" muttered an unimpressed Loose Woman.

And then there was Harvey, who chatted with Samantha in the bathroom as he brushed his teeth. He was more upset than most with Jasmine, having already registered that she might be a handful on the first night. You may recall that Harvey told Jasmine that if she felt she was ever getting upset, to find him so he could help her work it out. It was an invitation that she's since declined – and Harvey's rattled.

Everybody's rattled, actually. Even as this article hits your eyes, Coleen's chatting with Rhian about the irrepressible Jasmine Lennard. We have a feeling she'll be talked about constantly until she eventually leaves the House – and probably beyond.

Day 7 round-up
Ch5
We had a few grouchy housemates on Day 7, after the younger ones in the group decided to natter into the early hours. Even cool-headed Martin had something to say on the matter, branding the collective 'a little bit immature' – and the Kemp doesn't get riled by much.

One of the perpetrators, The Situation, may have clawed back some brownie points later in the morning by cooking a full English breakfast for the housemates. His attempt to fit into the British way continued later in the day, as he had a stab at a cockney accent. We rate his attempt – at least he's 'avin a go like.

However, the other American in our midst, Prince Lorenzo, is worried that he's coming across as a bit of a squid - and he doesn't mean the eight-legged kind. The Bachelor seems to have a few things on his mind at the moment, one of them being model Danica, who he just can't seem to make his mind up about. But if it's love he's looking for, he certainly won't find any in model Jasmine after she announced that he wouldn't be able to handle her – we may have to agree with her on that one.

The Big Spenders task continued throughout the day, with a selection of housemates bombing vile tasting shots in the Shots Till You Drop challenge and the elders dishing out some home truths in the Loose Change task. Luckily for the housemates, their efforts weren't in vain, as they learnt that they had won a whopping £725 for this week's shopping budget. However, there is a twist to this week's shopping task that we really want to tell you about right now, but our lips are firmly sealed. But do not fear, all will be revealed very soon.

In the evening, The Situation confronted Coleen over a comment she had made the night before. The reality TV star had got it into his head that she had been making fun of him – and he wasn't best pleased. After much to-ing and fro-ing, it turned out that it was just a lost in translation situation. However, the incident seems to have put doubt in the loose woman's mind, as she later confided that she's now really conscious of what she says and how she's being perceived by the other housemates.

Well, it was only a matter of time before the paranoia sets in. We're sure that's not the last we'll see of that.

But today is a new day – and a big day at that. Either Rhian or Jasmine will be walking through those doors and into the arms of the British public. Who will it be? You decide.

Day 9: The young, the old and the floaters

For a House of fairly amicable housemates, nominations have so far caused some serious fireworks and as our celebs sat down to breakfast on Day 9, the touch paper was lit once more.

Ashley told Coleen that Cheryl had accused him and Harvey of having a game plan and in an effort to dispel the myth said: "Me and Harvey have been the most genuine ones. You, Martin, Julie are the grown up ones. At some point I'm going to have to chose my mates but it's not a game plan. I've got my next two already."

The judo champ may just have hit nail on the head as, with Jasmine's departure and the latest batch of noms, a very clear divide has emerged between the generations.

Our Nolan Sister seconded that one. "The quiet ones are all together with Julian, Sam and Julie, there's you youngsters and me and Cheryl float about," she said. "I come and see you but no one has got my back."

Julian and The Situation empathised with each other over the feeling that being up for eviction is a good way of changing your perception about things in the House. Julian claimed: "The world looks like a different place when you are a marked man. You feel bit disillusioned."

The Sitch added: "You start to doubt genuinality – if that's even a word." It's not.

Our one time loose woman has promised we are going to see a new side to her from now on. "No more Mr Nice guy," she said. "Everyone's been so nice out here that I've kept things to myself in case they thought I was a right b***h, but I won't now." We can't wait.

The Sitch has a feeling he is not going this week. Coleen has feeling she is. Five housemates are up for eviction.

Julian nominated “the occasional table,” The Situation saying that he had had enough of him. Julian dubbed The Situation as “sexist, dense with a body like a bag of spanners.” His second nomination was for Prince Lorenzo. “He’s well meaning but has no character and is a bit dull.”

The second housemate to nominate was Julie whose first nomination was for Prince Lorenzo. She claimed that the Prince did not fit in with the group. Her second nomination was for Coleen. Julie mentioned that during the pie throwing task Coleen said “everyone would like to pie Bet Lynch.”

Martin’s first nomination was for Coleen and cited that she had been “unfair to Sam” about something she had written. His second nomination was for Rhian “Purely because I don’t know her that well.” He said that he felt Rhian avoided him and “may have a problem with talking to me.”

Cheryl nominated Samantha saying “she’s not sure of her, a little bit dodgy and there is a game plan that she doesn’t particularly like.” Her second nomination was for The Situation. “There’s something a little bit snidey about him.”

The fifth housemate to nominate was Prince Lorenzo whose first nomination was for Cheryl. “She called me a plant and it upset me.” His second nomination was for Julian. “I don’t know who he is; he hasn’t made an effort to talk me.”

Coleen’s first nomination was for The Situation because they are not connecting and thinks they are on different planets. Her second nomination was for Julie. “I feel uneasy in her company, I don’t know if she’s being fake.”

Samantha nominated Julian and said “I don’t feel supported by him and is like a cold fish.” Her second nomination was for Rhian. “I don’t like how she’s playing and manipulating Ashley in the house.”

Harvey’s first nomination was for Danica as he’s still not clear on what she does. His second nomination was for Julian because “he’s never involved and playing it safe.”

Next to nominate was Ashley whose first nomination was for Danica. He claimed she’s being fake. His second nomination was for Julian. “I don’t know much about him and he keeps himself to himself with ‘me Julie.”

Danica nominated Julian saying “there’s a sense of awkwardness, I don’t understand him as a person.” Her second nomination was for Prince Lorenzo. “All of a sudden he stopped talking to me and he shouldn’t have judged me before he got to know me.”

Rhian was next to nominated and chose Samantha. “She took Jasmine’s side and has been a bit distant.” She also nominated Cheryl because “she has a defensive side which makes me feel uncomfortable.”

The final housemate to nominate was The Situation who nominated Coleen because they have differences in communication. Cheryl is his second nomination. “She didn’t get me straight away and she thought I wasn’t as nice as I am.”

As a result: Cheryl, The Situation, Coleen, Prince Lorenzo and Julian all face eviction on Friday night.

Day 11: A Cheryl shaped hole

It's the morning after the night before, and the housemates have awoken to a Cheryl-less House, after she became the second celebrity to be evicted yesterday evening. Sitting around the table in the kitchen this morning, the elders – Samantha, Martin, Lorenzo and Julie reflected on losing one of their own.

"It'll be a lot quieter," mused Martin on how the House will change without the Eastenders actress.

"She used to spray perfume in the morning. It's the little things you'll miss," Samantha reminisced.

As they spoke fondly of their fallen friend, Lorenzo remarked that she received a great reception from the crowd, which prompted Julie to comment, "All those cheers and out. I don't get it".

Lorenzo, who faced a barrage of boo's last night, replied, "Do you think I should have gone?" Cue an awkward moment, as Julie hastily carried on the conversation, ignoring his comment. It's fair to say that the Prince is still a little bruised by his reception from the crowd.

However, there's one thing that about our Chezza they're glad to see the back of...

"I won't miss the burping," Samantha stated, which received agreement all around.

Maybe it's not the little things after all...

We all know what everyone else thinks, but Julie wants to know if The Situation himself believes that he is being played by Danica..

Ch5

The lousy ******* gives Danica up for nomination and he knows he is not being played because he has been told by Danica that she doesn't fancy him, if he wants to keep making a foll of himself chasing her - not because he is sincere in his feeling for her - then more fool him.

It is the other more mature women in the house that I am very disappointed in - why are they supporting these "lads" and not bringing them to account for their lecherous behavior!? Are they maybe jealous of the younger women getting the attention, just like Jasmine was?

Day 12: Lorenzo plans to catch out Danica's game Ch5 - Lorenzo employs a covert team to catch Danica flirting with everyone...

Day 12: Martin on Danica - 'It's award winning flirting'

Wipe the Sunday sleep out of your eyes folks, because the love triangle is already out of bed and ready to greet the day. Well, 'love triangle' is a rich term for something largely conversation-based. Let’s just carry on calling the mysterious vibes bouncing between Danica and her two guy pals a royal situation.

Last night The Situation told Danica he gets jealous when she talks to the Prince. This morning Danica reported this news directly to the Prince. She assured him that she’s not going to kowtow to such emotional tactics while the Prince - as ever – blustered and bleated and tried to understand what was happening, really happening, mysterious vibes-wise.

The exchange was brief but has pushed The Prince to 'go public' with his confusion.

"There's a lot going on in the House," he said entering the kitchen where Sam and Julie sat huddled over hot drinks.

With a little prompting from Sam, he mentioned the love triangle.

"I’m bored of that," barked Julie.

She's not the only one... But for as long as men continue to run in circles round pretty ladies, the same record – not to mention men – will continue to be played.

Julie may have opted out of this conversation but there were plenty of others wanting to chip in their two pence.

Sam's views on Danica could be described as cynical:

"You're a gentleman but don't allow yourself to be played if that's what’s happening," she told the Prince. "It’s what she does for a living."

Martin sauntered over and was invited to opine. He seemed genuinely amused and impressed by the Derby girl and launched something of a speech.

"I think I'm watching the best game I’ve ever played in my life... it’s award-winning flirting - tactile, whispering - it’s all tricks man. Rhian's pulled back but Danica... when she was talking to you last night, it’s like a web going on... I’ve seen it before but not as good as this. It's beautiful."

The Prince tried to take this on board while maintaining that he likes Danica. He’s going to carry on talking to her in order to establish what’s really going on between them and if the girl's got a game plan.

Good luck with that one, Prince. As Sam says, if she does have one, she's probably not going to spill to you!
