Big Blogger Task Overview
Today, Heidi and Spencer will think they are being interviewed by the web team for a made-up digital show ‘Big Blogger’, and that they are having an online chat with a competition winner . In fact it’s all a secret task and the other housemates will be watching the whole interview from the living area and typing their own questions to Heidi and Spencer from a laptop as if they were the competition winner.

How It Works
Heidi and Spencer will be called to the diary room and told that they have won a poll as the housemate the viewers would most like to see interviewed on the Celebrity Big Brother internet based show ‘Big Blogger’.

They will be lead to the large task room to meet some members of the digital team who claim to be about to film the last in the series of shows for ‘Big Blogger’.

Meanwhile the other housemates will be gathered to watch the interview on the screen in the living area. After watching the whole interview, the housemates will be given the chance to ask Heidi and Spencer some questions of their own posing as a competition winner on a chat room.

Housemates must find out interesting information about Heidi and Spencer, including:

* Their opinions of other housemates.
* Their feelings about controversial incidents in the house.
* Explanations for things that they have done in the house.
* Their thoughts on evictions and nominations.

If Big Brother is satisfied that housemates have used the web chat to successfully reveal interesting and previously unknown information, housemates will win a reward.

Speidi's bitching sent shockwaves through the House today, but how will our celebs react when they come face to face with their detractors?

Day 16: Speidi stand their ground

The true identity of the Big Blogger task has been revealed to the unwitting Speidi, and, as expected, the narked off housemates haven't held back their opinions about the candid interview.

It wasn't long after Big Brother had wrapped up the announcement that Tricia and Rylan got stuck into the reality stars, with the Heartbeat actress stepping up to the plate first.

"You two can act, fair play," Tricia stated to a bemused looking Speidi, later adding, "We thought you liked us".

If there was any confusion left, Heidi summed up their feelings nicely with this killer line, "I think liking people and living with people is different." With Spencer adding, "If I could evict every one of you now, I would". Yup, that's definitely cleared that one up...

An emotional Rylan, who was seriously offended that they pair had branded him as fake (again), decided to tell the couple how disappointed he was in them, stating that he thought their issues had been put behind them.

"I have to be nice to your faces, we're in here for three weeks," Spencer reasoned, which wasn't exactly what the X Factor contestant wanted to hear.

"I think you're the fakest housemates to walk through the doors... I don't want anything to do with you," he retorted.

Ouch, big words – apart from the fact that they were delivered by a hysterical Rylan with tin foil nails. It's quite hard to take someone seriously when they're doing a dodgy Edward Scissorhands impression.

Suffice to say, the atmosphere in the House is pretty awkward, which will be great for their American-themed shindig later this evening. Considering the tensions between the housemates right now, we think that's one party we'd give a miss...

Day 17: Take that and party

There was a definite fun police presence in the House when Big Brother sent in an American themed party as a reward for the Big Blogger task.

Speidi, who have been whispering together since the big reveal, embraced the event, with Heidi chanting, "USA USA USA." She even raised a glass for a God bless America toast, but only chinked with Spencer. Awkward.

The rest of the housemates focused on the food with conversation centred on milkshakes, hamburgers, hot dogs and ribs. The sound of mastication echoed around the living area.

Notably, no one bothered to get dressed up although Speidi donned USA flag Stetsons. Meabwhile, Razor cut a fine figure in his dressing gown.

Ryan got stuck into the washing up, Rylan refused to turn his frown upside down and Razor headed out to the garden to spend some time with his snowman.

"I'm so tired," complained Claire, adding to the electric party atmosphere.

"I wish Gillian was here," moaned Rylan. Someone has to get the party started, though we're not sure Kathy Beale could've kicked this lot into action.

If the other housemates are hoping for an apology from Speidi, they're in for a long wait.

The night is still seriously young. Big Brother has provided all the elements to make a fun night. Will the housemates suck it up and introduce some LOLs, or will there be tears before bedtime? Stay tuned

Day 17: Big Blogger aftermath - Speidi and Rylan's war of words

The 'Big Blogger' task got Rylan all riled up and he had quite a few choice words to exchange with Speidi. Rejoice, the drama ..

Rylan needs to chill out before the viewer starts to believe Speidi, because it looks like they have believed all the things/actions Speidi has said/done so far haven't they?

Day 17 round-up: A bit of bother with a big blogger
Photo

After an early start, Ryan and Razor proved to be the most productive housemates, building a snowman in the garden.

But Big Brother was not going to let the guys get away with a day of play, it was task time and it proved to be a real shocker for Speidi.

With the help of the CBB online team, Speidi were told they had been voted by the viewers to take part in an internet-based show called Big Blogger. However, it was the housemates asking the a series of probing questions to the US reality stalwarts. Rylan in particular – branded fake once again by the pair – was not happy with what he heard.

We thought this one would really knock the wind out of Speidi's sails, but when the truth of the task was revealed to them in front of their seething 'viewers', the defiant duo had plenty of excuses for their actions, turning the tables and blaming the housemates, before claiming they knew it was a task all along.

The task reward - an American themed party - was possibly the most awkward shindig the House has ever seen. Speidi loitered by the burgers celebrating all things American, Rylan sulked silently on the sofa and Ryan decided he'd rather do the dishes than get involved.

Tricia attempted to lighten the mood with some questionable dancing. As did Heidi. The Heartbeat barmaid, who Speidi had earlier declared was so funny she could be a comedian, continued to remain the focus of the evening's entertainment, using Razor's body as a canvas for a game of hangman before turning her attention to Frankie for some cheeky cuddles.

Clearly not wishing to turn into pumpkins, housemates were all in bed by midnight, although Claire and Rylan stayed up giggling like naughty children at a sleep over.

At least that meant Rylan had given up on the silent treatment. Will he have more to say on the fallout from the Big Blogger task tomorrow, or will the uncomfortable events be brushed under the carpet? We can't wait to find out.

Speidi are the ones who are fake. I read somewhere that they had split up 3 times and that Heidi sent Spencer divorce papers because he had cheated on her. Heidi seems quite nice, but she is not being herself and is very governed by her arrogant Spencer. Yes, it may seem to some that Rylan is acting up and being fake, but that is how he always is - he is no different on BB to how he is normally, so to me that is not being fake, just how he normally is (may not be how some people think of as being normal, but it's normal to Rylan). That's what Speidi don't realise. I enjoy watching Speidi, just because I've never seen anyone like them, but I wouldn't want them to win. Some of the American sites I have read, say that Speidi are very fake.

The thing is, Rylan is a very emotional person with feelings and has had a hard time, feeling that he is different when younger and then on X Factor he got hate mail etc, so I imagine he finds it all very hard to deal with, and being in that house magnifies things and you get sleep deprived etc

Day 18: Rylan vs Speidi – real or fake?

Day 17's Big Blogger task seems to have added fuel to those early tensions formed by Speidi's basement task. When Big Brother facilitates housemates snooping on one another, it's always interesting to see which accusations fly around when the fallout starts to settle.

This series, the main bone of contention seems to have been reality versus fakery, with Rylan and Speidi being the chief accusers and main recipients of all charges.

So who's real and who's fake? What do those words even mean when applied to stars of reality TV? Is it possible both Rylan and Speidi are both a little bit real and a little bit fake? Let's apply a little pop psychology and see who's guiltiest of ramping up the drama for the cameras and to find out who's as real as a slice of real pie...

Rylan

Take a deep breath and look at Rylan. Just look at him. His beard and hair are dyed jet black. His skin's plastered with applied tanning solution. He wears clothing he's branded with his own name and catchphrases. He's even labelled some of his togs 'Team Rylan', as though he's seen the way we like to refer to evictees and he's pre-empted his own hype. Schooled by Katie Price, Rylan's no stranger to making the best and most marketable impression. But does that mean he's fake? Aspects of his look may be, but in terms of personality, Rylan seems about as real as they come. He's sharp and quick-witted, giving him a script would ruin his spontaneous entertainment value. He may pil on the drama but, when it comes to character, we reckon Rylan's for real.

Speidi

Heidi and Spencer are used to appearing on scripted reality shows – they've spoken at length about which aspects of The Hills are faked – that their behaviour on unscripted CBB reality is entertainingly bizarre. They play their panto villain characters with vigour and it's never less than brilliantly enthralling, but occasionally, because Big Brother is 24/7, we see them drop the ball. After their time in the igloo with dear departed Gillian, we saw a different, possibly more genuine side to them, in which they expressed a little bit of love for their housemates. When they gripe about their media treatment, we see a more vulnerable side to them. It seems the brilliantly obnoxious front they put on is a completely open secret. It's not really them, but they'll happily slip into character the moment someone gives them the smallest cue.

So who's more real and who's more fake? Maybe we're asking the wrong question. When you're talking about stalwarts of reality television programming, authenticity is so hard to spot, you're probably better off asking who's more entertaining. Both Speidi and Rylan, as far as we can tell, are running about neck and neck on that front as things stand.
