‘TIME IS MONEY’


OVERVIEW
For this week’s Shopping Task, every second counts.

Housemates all take part in various tasks. The better they perform, the more time they build up to take them to the final.

HOW IT WORKS
Housemates wake up to find a giant hour glass in the garden. BB explains to them that this week’s shopping task involves them having to bank as much time as possible by completing a number a varying tasks that are a mix of physical, mental, secret and silly.

Over the course of the two days, the more time they bank, the more time Housemates have to attempt to complete the final task.


DAY ONE
HOURGLASS CHALLENGES - Played twice in the day, Housemates have the time it takes for the hour glass to run out to complete a task:

Long Time No See – Housemates have to arrange themselves in height and then age order...whilst all blindfolded.

Feeding Time – Housemates all line up along a table standing by a cloche each. Under each cloche is an item of food to eat. However, under cloche number 1 is 1 food item, 2 is 2 food items, 3 is 3 and so on. Some will be nice...some not so nice.

Swiss Clock Watch – Over the space of the task, three Housemates will be Swiss Clock Characters and a Cuckoo. Set in the Tree House, it is their responsibility to announce the time of the day by ringing a bell.

Housemates will be paired off and offered shifts for the day that they need to decide themselves.


The Speaking Clock – On a plinth in the House is a phone and an alarm clock. Throughout the day (and night) Big Brother will call it to ask what the time is.

Hard Time - In the Diary Room, a Housemate has to slag off another Housemate of their choice for as long as possible, however, this is played on the TV to the rest of the Housemates.


Gossip Time – Later in the day, one Housemate is tempted with the offer to watch two minutes of Housemates gossiping about them. After two minutes the tape is cut (this could be a 5 minute long conversation, so BB asks them if they want to watch more). The more they watch, the more time is deducted from the final task.

Housemates failed to order themselves in height order.

Hard Time
Dustin was asked to diss another housemate for as long as possible.
He decided not to diss anyone and as a result won no extra time for the shopping task.

Come in number 7 you've embarrassed yourself enough!


Day 6 round-up: Bath time is money

It was Day 6 of this celebrity batch's time in the Big Brother House and it was also the second day of their shopping task. Time Is Money seemed to be messing with housemate's minds as they woke up (some of them a little groggy) first thing in the morning. They couldn't work out what time it was, which was rather fitting.

But there's always time for a hair treatment, at least as far as celebs are concerned. Vicky had her barnet seen to by Lauren and she seemed delighted with the results. All the same, the House was a bit subdued in the morning, though Bruce teaching Dustin to make a brew lifted a spirit here and there.

No time to mope though – that task soon reared its head again. A team bath turned out to be quite unpleasant, but some of our celebs managed to make it through. The grime didn't stop there though – Louie had something to say about the level of hygiene in the House after everyone had showered down. The task finale came along next, with Carol and Mario facing the clock and figuring out who said what about who. Their housemates watched on the plasma and got an early heads up on how they got on.

As the day wound down our celebrity friends had a quieter night than usual. Lauren and Courtney's bond grew tighter and Charlotte taught a lesson in gibberish to her new pals. After that – an early night. Probably for the best – there is an eviction on the evening of Day 7 after all...

'Time is Money'

Yesterday housemates took part in the second day of 'Time is Money'.

They took part in:

‘Bath Time’.


Bruce and Vicky sat in Curry and Rice
Sophie and Mario - eels, octopus and fish heads
Lauren and Courtney - Sour Milk
Carol and Charlotte - Maggots
Louie and Danielle - Offal and Tripe
Abz and Dustin – green food dye
Ron – A big ol’ cooked breakfast

Lauren, Sophie, Courtney, Vicky, Abz, Bruce, Dustin, Mario and Ron stayed in the bath until the time ran out.
Louie and Danielle, Carol and Charlotte finished early.

Test of Time

Housemates gained 5.30 minutes for this during the two days. Carol and Mario took part in Test of Time. They had to unlock safes, guess the correct he said/she said and match it to the clock.

They correctly guessed that
Charlotte said ‘i just think Vicky is a bit of a stupid cow.’
Mario said ‘when i talk to him its like he doesn’t want to know’ about Abz
Abz said ‘i feel like she is telling people what to do. I feel like people need to keep their opinions to themselves’ about Sophie.
Carol said ‘she has to fake passing out, shes doing it now. Shes a fake. Shes a fake.’
Vicky said ‘get a ******* life, youre too old now and too fat to be pirouetting around’.
'Who the **** does Sophie ******* Anderton think she ******* is? Get over yourself!’ was said by Danielle.

They did this in the allotted time and therefore won the luxury shopping budget of £650.
