I have just received notification that the domain name bbfans.com expires on 8th November 2013, the domain name bbfans.co.uk expires 08-Dec-2013 and the hosting of the site expires on 11/12/2013. I am trying to cut back on my expenses & can't really afford to renew them. I don't really have the time any more either so it is with deep regret that I will have to close this site unless I can get someone to take over.
I have to a certain extent lost interest in Big Brother now, due to the terrible bias shown by the producers. It is no longer us who decides who wins, but C5. There was a time when I watched every single show, including all the spin off shows & hated if I missed it, but now I never watch the spin-off shows & often don't watch the main shows & it doesn't bother me that much.
We also don't have many members who post on the site now (this year has been the worst ever), so it shouldn't affect too many people. I admit that is probably my fault, due to not being pro-active enough over recent years. I feel the site does have a lot more potential for someone who has the time & knowhow to give it, so if anyone is interested in taking the site over, please let me know either by private message or email to christine@bbfans .co.uk (I have purposely separated the email address to try to stop spider bots picking it up). You really need to have a bit of technical knowledge as well.
The site will continue until everything runs out in December and doesn't work any more, unless someone takes it over (please note that bbfans.co.uk will continue to work for much longer than bbfans.com).
It is the end of an era & I am very sad about it, but it is something I feel I need to do I'm afraid.
I hate letting people down & I would like to thank everyone for their loyalty & help over the years. The site would never have been in the first place without members to post & help. We've had some good times on here. I will miss speaking to everyone & have made some good friends. Maybe someone will take it over - we shall have to see. I'm very sorry about this.
