I liked them too Lyns!! The funny thing is my 15 year old sister-in-law has never heard of them and thought "mad world" was a new song!

I saw a program about pop duos last year - and curt and roland were on it saying how much they hated each other!!

I am going to join in and say I used to like them as well. I know some of the music was naff in the 80's but I think the reason is that some of the groups did make memorable music, some still look good and are still able to play live at big venues. Also in the States a lot of the good bands in the 80's are still remembered, it has really been the States which have brought these bands back. Being British I am glad to see these bands remembered as most of them where British and it good to see British bands being remembered. Look how long some of American bands have been going, ie Bon Jon Jovi, 80's group, they don't just drop them like we do, if they have a huge following then in the States they will become fans forever of that group.

I bought a ticket to see Duran Duran live. I am hoping to go and see them in Manchester.
