SOFT Cell singer Marc Almond was fighting for life last night after a motorbike crash.

The pop star suffered severe head injuries after being thrown off the back of the bike when it collided with a car.

Marc, 45, who had been riding pillion on the Suzuki, landed on the road along with the motorcyclist who was seriously hurt.

The singer — whose band had a No1 in 1981 with Tainted Love — is understood to have had life-saving surgery at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
