Des, Mel And The Tea Time War

Des O'Connor and Melanie Sykes are poised to challenge Richard And Judy in the battle for chat show supremacy.

ITV1 has announced it is moving Today With Des And Mel from lunchtime to a new slot at 5pm.

The move will put the programme in direct competition with Channel 4's Richard And Judy show.

Mel added: "I am delighted. I'm particularly pleased because my parents will be back home from work by that time and be able to watch the show!"

Des added: "Mel and I are thrilled."

Viewing figures for the show have doubled since launch.

The new 5pm programme will be launched on January 10, replacing the Paul O'Grady Show, which ends next month.

Paul O' Grady show is v funny, he must get a later time slot surely?....he's miles better than usual daytime drivel

Des and Mel pre record the day before and edit like mad to produce the show vs totaly live show they will lose, especualy if they continue their current format of inane banter and guests of unknown actors and singers.

I feel they should pay me lots of money, as a kind of reverse-focus group, every daytime, brekkie show i hate seems to do really well :roll: So i suggest they pay me to say what i like, then do the opposite :D

I mean the "Paul O'Grady show" :8o:

The Paul O Grady show was very funny, a light hearted fun show with a good range of guests and amusing stories ()^ I liked it :eviltongue:
