Did anybody see Eastenders last night, (23/12) I thought it was by far one of, if not the best episode I have ever seen.

It was full of twists and turns, with Den ripping Sam and the Mitchells off with the help of Marcus, then Andy dumping Sam.

But best of all I think the Paul Trueman character was fantastic, rare for EE, but I thought he acted it superb, with real feeling etc.

All in all, an excellent 30 minutes of television from such an unexpected source ()^

It was brilliant, I read on another site (yes there are one or two ;)) that they have a new producer or something. Something certainly seems to be making a difference because lately Eastenders has been a take it or leave thing for me.

Yes I can't stop talking about it. It was great. I think from the beginning of this week were the episodes since the new producer took over and you certainly can tell.

The storylines went back and forth so you didn't get bored...even the acting seemed to have gone up a notch.
I found the whole Paul thing quite upsetting and the Sam/Marcus/Den twist genuinely shocking. They kept that one quiet. I read all the spoilers and didn't see that coming at all. Fantastic TV. Although felt bad for Sam (she had it coming) I couldn't help but laugh at Andy turning up the radio, jigging his head about after stabbing her name out the cake.
Then it went back to Paul with what I thought was great acting on his part. So we had comedy, suspense and sorrow.
Lasts night's show really had it all. I hope there is more of this kind of Eastenders to come. :D
