The new series of reality show 'Average Joe' is back on our screens on E4 on Saturday nights. But this time there's a twist.
Back by popular demand is Adam Mesh, a former contestant who lost out on the first series to a much less charismatic figure. Melana Scantlin, the girl of Adam's dreams, told him that she preferred idiot loser Jason, who was twenty something, had no career and still lived with his parents. Hey, go figure.

This is the daddy of reality human-interest stories. And there's nothing the Americans love more than that. Who cares that people are dying all over the world, usually a sad story about a boy and the death of his hamster is enough for television news networks to rush down and get an exclusive!
The greatest human-interest story of all time is seeing the exceedingly nice Adam come back from suffering so much heartbreak in the last series.
Mesh, from New York, was already an eligible bachelor with his fortune accumulated from the stock market. What made him return, after the knife in the back from the show's original chooser, Melana Scantlin?
The reason is still to find the girl of his dreams. Adam is one of the last true romantics of the world, which helped him capture the hearts of television viewers worldwide. Adam’s sincerity, modesty and infectious personality had sparked the idea behind the new series.
Now he is the chooser and will be staying in the Palm Spring’s house with a group of women who are desperate to be with him. He won so many hearts in the first series that thousands of women applied in hope of being able to come face to face with the bashful bachelor.
Doesn’t it just sound so nice? It almost makes you want to cry, doesn’t it? Finally the underdog will get all the action. No more jock interventions and bullying to be suffered by the scrawnier and less attractive bunch.
Adam better also prepare himself for the extremely hot busload of ladies who will arrive at some point in the series.
Will the Average Jane’s be able to compete with the model competition?
Will Adam ultimately pick an Average Jane or will he opt for a sexy, young and tight-bodied temptress?
The choice is his and it should all make for some really entertaining television.
