Aww, it’s enough to bring a tear to our eyes…the lovely Ant McPartlin of Ant’n’Dec fame (just so you know, he’s the slightly taller, dark-haired one with the pronounced forehead) may soon be tying the knot.

According to a source quoted in today’s Sun newspaper, he has already purchased a sparkler worth £16,000 from Tiffany and will pop the question to his long-term love, Lisa, on a romantic break.

The source said: "Ant visited all the big jewellers in London looking for the right ring. He found exactly what he was looking for at Tiffany and immediately got out his chequebook."

Ant and Lisa have had one of the most enduring showbiz relationships – they met way back in the early 90s when Ant and Dec were performing as PJ and Duncan (after their characters on Byker Grove) and Lisa was in a band called Deuce.

Aww I am so happy to hear that about Ant and Lisa. I met Lisa when she was part of the band Deuce, my friend is still in touch with Paul who used to be in the band because they were forever up at this neck of the woods doing the odd roadshow or whatever. In fact if I remember correctly Ant and Lisa met at one of them roadshows. I wish them all the very best.

does that mean that Ant and Dec have now divorced? And they made such a lovely couple.

I'm sure they can still work together.
