Quite simply - magnificent.

Just caught a bit of Ziggy Stardust on some random VHBland channel. They had the nerve to put him up against Paul Weller of all people in one of these Bowie v Weller thingys.

Which reminds me..... off to the favourite lyrics thread!

Good call, the guy's a legend! high up there in my top artist list. However I mostly only see 'Heroes' on vh2 etc, shame that's all they seem to show.

Bowie is a god and nothing more...but the less said about The Laughing Gnome and Tin Machine the better, 'nuff said.

whats wrong with the Laughing Gnome? Its almost as good as the 'gravedigger' track. Damn, those are two fine tracks.

yes, Bowie is a God, and I will do his bidding.

The Laughing Gnome, why didn't I think of that when it came to favourite childhood songs! My dad is a big Bowie fan and I used to make him play that song for me over and over again when I was wee - absolutely loved it! 'ha ha ha, hee hee hee, I'm the laughing gnome and you can't catch me' ::lol:: ::lol:: It was so funny.

David Bowie is an outstanding songwriter and performer although his music has never been my first choice, there are only a couple of songs that I really like but that doesn't take away the fact he is talented. :D
