ROLLERS ON COCAINE DEAL RAP
TWO former Bay City Rollers appeared in the dock yesterday accused of plotting to deal cocaine.
Guitarist Pat McGlynn, pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to supply half a kilo of the Class A drug with Rollers singer Les McKeown.
Former heart-throb McKeown is expected to deny the accusation.
Appearing at Chelmsford crown court in Essex, McGlynn, from Edinburgh, also denied possessing cocaine and a money laundering charge.
He was arrested with three other men in May near a hotel in Waltham Abbey, Essex.
McKeown, 49, was later arrested at his home in Hackney, East London in June and charged with plotting to supply cocaine with the others.
He has not yet entered a plea but a hearing has been set for Tuesday for an application to dismiss the charge.
Both men were released on conditional bail.
The Bay City Rollers sold more than 120 million records in the 70s.
