1/4 - Booker TThe first of four weekly performances, weirdly scheduled more than a month after the festival itself took place. But no matter, because we're off to a rollicking start with Booker T Jones, backed here by members of the Fabulous Thunderbirds rather than the MGs, but still galloping through versions of Green Onions and the even funkier Time Is Tight, among other hits. Booker smiles casually while the rock-oriented band play faster and louder than the MGs did on the records. And yes, they do do the BBC cricket theme, Soul Limbo.
