THE TRAGIC story of Suffolk Strangler victim Anneli Alderton has been told for the first time by her mum - for a new BBC drama.

English teacher Maire Alderton was left so distraught by the bright, educated 24-year-old's death that she has never spoken publicly about it.

But she agreed to to assist with series Five Daughters - which tells the harrowing stories of girls who fell victim to heroin, prostitution and then to serial killer Steve Wright.
