All at Sea 1/3 ITV1 - London Thursday 13 May
9:00pm - 10:00pm
Soaring aerial shots of British seascapes, boats pounding through the waves to the sound of heart-stirring music: it's got to be a new series of Coast. But there's not a geography teacher-style presenter in sight. Instead there's Nick Hancock, Richard Madeley, Dawn Porter, Bradley Walsh, Mark Durden- Smith and Rosemary Shrager wearing anoraks and anxious smiles. Split into two teams, they're travelling along the south coast of England from Cornwall to Kent and then up to London in a variety of boats, admiring the scenery and getting a different perspective on our coastline. And that, essentially, is the sum of the series. It doesn't try to teach us anything (other than that Hancock's very competitive, Jesus may have visited Cornwall as a boy and smugglers' paradise Polperro was known historically as the "hole in the wall"). It's pleasant but strangely unsatisfying.
