The Pride of Britain Awards 2014
ITV, ST; V, UTV Tue 7th Oct 8pm - 10pm
Repeat: Tue 7 Oct ITV +1, STV +1 9pm The great and good of our nation come together to celebrate the country's unsung heroes for the 16th annual ceremony. Carol Vorderman hosts the event, which is once more held at London's Grosvenor House. Prince Charles and Prime Minister David Cameron will be in attendance, along with celebrities including Stephen Fry, Amanda Holden, Tom Jones, Katherine Kelly, and gold medal-winning Olympians Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins. Among those up for awards are a woman who has fostered 1,200 children, the British man who invented the world wide web, and there's a posthumous honour for Stephen Sutton, whose cancer battle inspired millions. It's always an emotional event that leaves many attendees and those watching at home in tears. Hopefully, Carol will be wearing waterproof mascara
