I love watching the Eurovision song contest i find it funny seeing the rest of europe be really petty and ignore the UK. Me and my brothers sat there reading the lyrics to some of the foreign songs and we were laughing so bad cause they didnt make any sense at all!

Jordan Favourite For UK Eurovision

Page three pin-up Jordan is hot favourite to represent the UK in this year's Eurovision song contest, bookies say.

The glamour girl turned singer plans to showcase her act on Top Of The Pops this Friday.

It is not known how raunchy Jordan's performance will be, or whether she will flaunt her famous breasts.

Jordan - real name Katie Price - is up against four other hopefuls to take part in the contest, including hunk Andy Scott-Lee, sassy Javine and former favourite Gina G.

Sky Bet has announced that Jordan's odds have been slashed from 7/2 to evens following a flurry of bets on the model.Ananova

WHY ARE EU SO NASTY, JORDAN?

The bitching between Eurovision song hopefuls Javine and pregnant Jordan gathers pace.

Jordan branded stunning Javine, who is sure she'll represent the UK with hot track Touch My Fire, a "silly cow".

Javine's reply? She says: "It's a shame Jordan feels the need to keep bitching. Eurovision is all about the song and the performance, and I'll focus on that.

"We all sing live on the night - so I look forward to hearing her."

Ouch!

Kiev goes 'orange' for Eurovision

Last year, Kiev was taken over by "orange" supporters
The song that became the anthem of Ukraine's "orange revolution" has been chosen to represent the country at this year's Eurovision song contest.

The hip-hop tune Together we are many! (Razom nas bagato!) by Greenjolly beat 18 other contestants in an interactive vote in a qualifying final in Kiev.

It became an instant hit with many Ukrainians who rallied against last November's rigged presidential poll.

Ukraine will host Eurovision 2005 in May as it won the contest last year.

The country's winning entry at the show in Turkey was Wild Dances by Ruslana.

Razom nas bagato! is a remake of the famous revolutionary song Pueblo unido jamas sera vencido! (The people, united, will never be defeated!) from the 1960s.

Ukraine's leather-clad Ruslana won with Wild Dances in Turkey

It was written by the Greenjolly duo in the early days of the mass protests in Kiev that eventually brought West-leaning President Viktor Yushchenko to power.

"No to falsifications!... No to lies! Yushchenko - yes! Yushchenko - yes! This is our president - yes, yes!" the song says.

"We aren't cattle!... We are Ukraine's daughters and sons! Now or never! Enough with the wait! Together we are many! We cannot be defeated," it says.

Greenjolly won the right to represent Ukraine in a telephone and SMS vote during Sunday's final shown live on UT1 television channel.

However, some local music experts have criticised the viewers' choice, saying the Eurovision is not a contest for political songs. BBC

Glamour model Jordan is the favourite to represent the UK at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes gave her odds of 10/11 on winning Saturday's Making Your Mind Up show, when the UK's song will be chosen by public vote.

Jordan, who will perform under her real name of Katie Price, will be competing against four other acts.

Meanwhile, Edith Bowman is the new favourite to win Celebrity Fame Academy, with odds of 5/4.

Previous favourite Kim Medcalf now has odds of 2/1 to win the charity talent show, while Casualty star Chris Colquhoun is favourite to be voted out next.

"There has been a big gamble on Edith, she has a lot of support out there," said Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush on Friday. "We have taken a number of three figure bets in recent hours."

Former Pop Idol finalist Andy Scott Lee is second favourite to win Making Your Mind Up, followed by Javine, who launched a solo career after narrowly missing out on a place in Girls Aloud.

Gina G, who represented the UK in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest, and operatic trio Tricolore are the outsiders, according to Ladbrokes.

"Money has made Jordan the odds-on choice to represent Britain in Kiev," said Lush. "She has hit the publicity trail and has convinced punters she has what it takes. Now it is down to her performance on the night."

The bookmakers are also offering odds of 33/1 on Jordan, who is five months pregnant, winning the contest in Kiev on 21 May.

However, she also has odds of 4/1 on winning Making Your Mind Up, but withdrawing from the actual contest because of her pregnancy.

Making Your Mind will be broadcast on BBC One at 1745GMT on Saturday.

Making Your Mind Up odds
Katie Price 10/11
Andy Scott Lee 5/2
Javine 5/1
Gina G 8/1
Tricolore 10/1

Jordan In Eurovision 'Flx' Claim
Jordan is at the centre of allegations of a fix ahead of tonight's final for Eurovision Song Contest hopefuls.
Jordan, will perform under her real name Katie Price, has been accused of having an unfair advantage after it emerged that oneof the BBC show's bosses helped to write her song.
Nicky Graham, who is the show's consultant and A&R director, is married to the song's co-writer Deni Lew. The BBC's website admits that the song, Not Just Anybody, was written 'under the experienced eye of writer/producer Nicky Graham'.
As the A&R director, he chose each contestant's song and organised the order of tonight's BBC1 show.
"This is like the wife of the referre being invovled with one of the teams in the F.A. Cup Final,' stormed Jonathan Shalit, the manager of Jordan's rival Javine. 'For the BBC to allow this is appalllin. 'This gives Jordan an unfair advantage.'
Jordan's competitors are also unhappy that she has been given final billing on tonight's show - which is always seen as the best spot.

Last night the BBC denied there was any fix. 'Nicky has been available to advise all artists equally,' a spokesman said. 'Ultimately, the public decides the best song.'

Singer Javine, the former Popstars: The Rivals contestant, is Britain's Eurovision entry.

The singer beat off competition to claim the right to represent the UK at this year's Eurovision song contest in Ukraine on May 21.

Wearing a very revealing russet-coloured cut-away dress the 24-year-old sang her way to victory with Touch My Fire with 116 points.

Javine, who narrowly missed out on a place in Girl's Aloud, was singing alongside operatic trio Tricolore, Pop Idol contestant Andy Scott-Lee, Gina G and Jordan for a place in the gltzy European affair.

Jordan, who was singing under her real name Katie Price, came a close second, nine points behind, as the votes came in from panels around Britain. Andy Scott-Lee was third with 61 points.

Wearing a pink skin-tight catsuit the visibly pregnant former glamour model failed to win the public vote on BBC1's Making Your Mind Up for her song Not Just Anybody.

GLAMOUR girl Jordan was just pipped to be the UK's entry at this year's Eurovision.

The model-turned-singer, who last week announced she is five months pregnant, was pipped by Girls Aloud reject Javine.

Jordan, real name Katie Price, earned 101 votes to Javine's 116 after performing her song Not Just Anybody on television's Making Your Mind Up.

Katie, 26, who is preparing to wed pop star fiance Peter Andre in the summer, wowed the public in a figure-hugging pink leather catsuit.

But although she topped the polls in Scotland and on the world wide web, Javine came out top in seven regions to go forward to the annual song contest in the Ukraine on May 21.

The contest became a two-horse race as Javine and Katie roared clear of rivals Gina G, Andy Scott-Lee and Tricolore.

But former Popstars: The Rivals contestant Javine won thanks to her song, Touch My Fire.

Javine said: "I'm absolutely gobsmacked.

"Thank you England and Scotland and everyone who voted. I'm gonna do my best for you."

BOOKIES' favourite Jordan last night dramatically lost her bid to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The glamour girl LOOKED sensational in a sexy pink catsuit.

But she SOUNDED terrible, hitting a succession of bum notes in a rendition of Not Just Anybody watched by a live telly audience of millions.

The topless model, 26, lost out to Girls Aloud reject Javine, who out Jordan-ed Jordan by popping out of her skimpy orange mini-dress as she sang Touch My Fire.

Later Jordan blamed her rivals for the result. She told the News of the World: "I know I'm the best performer of the lot but there's been so much bitching about me from the other contestants the country's been swayed to vote against me.

"Javine said I shouldn't enter because I'm pregnant and Gina G has been just as bitchy, going on about my boob job as if having big boobs is a crime. She's obviously just ridiculously jealous.

"It made me even more determined to win so naturally I'm disappointed. But I'm a fighter and I always get what I want. I'd love to fly the flag for the UK. And if I can't do that I'll just have to wear it!"

The Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Kiev, Ukraine on May 21.
