Jonathan Ross Returns

Jonathan Ross's Friday night chatshow will return to BBC One on January 23 following his three month-suspension over the "Sachsgate" row.

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross will return to its regular 22:40 slot on 23 January, with the presenter fronting his Radio 2 Saturday show for the first time in three months the following day, the BBC has confirmed. Ross's other regular BBC One show, Film 2009, will be back on air the following Monday.

Ross's BBC One chatshow, which was shelved after the presenter was suspended without pay after he and comedian Russell Brand left offensive messages on actor Andrew Sachs's voicemail that were broadcast on Radio 2, has been replaced by a mixture of movie repeats and stand-up comedy show Live at the Apollo.

Filming of the show is expected to take place on January 21 or 22, with guests due to be confirmed tomorrow.

The format of the show is expected to remain the same, although Ross will cut back on the amount of swearing.
