Swindon's crap...but Readings ok.Has improved vastly last 2-3 yrs and I prefer it to Oxford for shopping leastways

You can't compare the city of dreaming spires with the town of gleaming roundabouts!

I love Oxford, ok, it has its ropey bits (Blackbird Leys and the bits along the Thames/Isis call it what you will), but I just love wandering around those little lanes and sneaking a peek into those college quads. Reading, on the other hand, is just all business parks and legoland estates.

I've never actually found Aberdeen that bad. It definitely has it's parts that aren't very nice but I've always quite liked the actual city.

you're not stalking me as well are you? Looking out of my office window it's like being on the set of Pride and Prejudice.

Why is Leicester not on the list of worst places ? Without offending anyone who lives there, I've been there and it's not the nicest of places. :-?

Leicester doesn't look great on the surface but is probably one of the friendliest and safest places I've been to. For a big city it doesn't seem to suffer from some of the inner-city problems like those faced by other similar-sized places.
