I thought Pink Floyd were amazing, brilliant to see them together again :) (minus Syd of course)

I also thought The Who were very good and I enjoyed Sting.

It was highly frustrating when Fern Cotton (not that seeing Ms Cotton is ever frustrating like!) interviewed Brandon Flowers from the Killers and he said they were only doing one song! They did it rather well I thought, good choice of song for the occasion and lets hope they release a new single soon :D

I thought about that but they're not releasing their second album until January. I don't want everything to go quiet on the Killers front until then!

Maybe one of the tremendous B-sides can be released as a single? Didn't Feeder do that with Just A Day?

the problem with the lottery-type, ticket system, was the largely, non-gig going audience. :-?
Sorry to appear like a muso-snob...but it wasn't much of a moshpit,
was it? :roll:
You had afew die-hard's determined to enjoy themselves
(with the help of smuggled-in booze?), but mostly , it seemed like middle-class, white professionals, enjoying a pleasant day out with their picnic blankets. :roll:
Velvet Revolver, rocking-out , to a bemused and head-scratching , unknowing, static crowd was hillarious ::lol::

Just, lets not mention the v.i.p's and liggers, quaffing free champagne and caviar, in the golden circle, whilst preaching about poverty and hunger. :roll:
Obscene and stomach churning :puke:

I liked velvet revolver ::lol::

Must admit these things do make me feel uncomfortable...I'm not sure as an artist I would appear.But I think the motives behind it are good and If it makes people sit up and think if only for a while and gets people to gain a sense of perspective ,it can only be a good thing.
I have no doubt that some of the artists were genuine..e.g. Annie Lennox but think many just jump on the bandwagon.
I have had my wristband for about 5 months but last few weeks have taken it off as it seems to be more of a fashion statement than anything sincere.
Still debating about the morality of it is probably more fruitful than baiting forum members and slgging off housemates.

lets face it, it was a day out for the chattering classes for them to boast about they do their bit. No different from the old "charidee" days.
