I can't imagine that as being a very popular storyline or very believable then again he's worked his way around all the women in albert square theres none left....

Mind you "going with"your sister is enough to turn anyone!!

EASTENDERS battleaxe Pat Butcher is to appear in a Back to the Future-style spin-off — as a sexy girl in her TWENTIES.

The trouble with soaps at the moment, is that ordinary everyday peeps have no afinity with the story lines?

Home and away and neighbours are are another planet [with the exception of the cancer story]

Eastenders has seriously lost the plot? who can relate to any of the latest stories, they are just beyond belief.

As for corrie, how much longer can they rehash the same old story lines.

Time for the script writers to have a wander around the real world and come up with some topical subjects.

How many of you just leave the tv on and go do something else?

No one watches

I have always advocated that a lot of soaps are very old fashioned. Very few people know there neighbours but more have close relationships in work.

How many here live in London or Manchester actually work and live in the same street. Also the cities where they are set are very sterotypic and is not a real life picture of that area. The East End London can be very expensive to live especially with all the developments going on.

Although it is a comedy the Office has been successful because it reminds of us sarcastically of our lives, we can relate to parts of the stories and unfortunately some of the people in the show.

Another problem is that many of our top writers are moving to the States. Like Simon Moore whom wrote Traffic which became the movie Traffik and then went on write a lot of mythology type of programmes such as 10th Kingdom.

If I was the controller of the BBC I blow up Eastenders and start again with a more realistic looking East End of London. With characters you would associate with London today.

Agree in some ways as when ee first started out, they did have more topical and believable story lines, teenage pregnancy, drugs, people struggling to make ends meet.

I would like to see more story lines which really represent todays problems. They have a great outlet with sonia becoming a nurse and could work on that.

I am fed up of seeing really stupid episodes featuring "sam the godmother" how pathetic are they? Janine the murderess? And all those ugly guys that have 2 women on the go ::lol::

IN just five years she's out-bitched the best of them, broken up relationships and become a drug-addicted prostitute, before finally killing her new husband at Christmas.

But now actress Charlie Brooks is turning her back on her role of EastEnders' wicked Janine Butcher to start a new career on the stage - a gamble she hopes could take her all the way to Broadway.
