...anyone, in BBFANS-land, seen
this much-hyped, film yet??

or planning to see it, over the coming, few days??

...from the reviews, i've read, it's generally considered
to be violent in the extreme and a bit gratuitous.

...some reviewers, seem to think, it's the best thing, since sliced bread,
whilst others, consider it decidedly average.

I want to go and see it but nobody will come with me because of the subtitles...I'm not really a fan of subtitles but I can handle them, only thing though with it being a long film and in the cinema, I'm worried I would fall asleep so don't fancy going by myself. :-(

litre mugs, of Coke, that they sell in the foyer ()^

...that way, you're be munching and slurping,
throughout the movie ,and you won't nod-off. ()^

I was thinking of going to see the movie but I believe some of the scenes are really gruesome, the movie really gives the image of someone being tortured and in pain with all the violence entailed and I don't know if I want to see that. I have watched lots of violent movies before but the violence and torture is usually over in a few scenes but from what I gather this is isn't.

no.....

i only watch biblical movies, if Charlton Heston, is in them
and the special effects are made from
sticky-backed plastic and a ball of string. ()^

...i'll stick with "The Life of Brian", apart from that. ()^

- apparently in the new movie, when he's being nailed-up,
on the old cross thingy, you can see the actor's real hand, behind
the false, plastic one.

..so much, for going through pain, for your art, eh?

Can't do that or I'll have to keep running to the loo!
Think I'll wait for the DVD...it might be dubbed :D
Bible epics are the type of thing to watch on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at home anyway.

I know if I go and see it I will be crying all the way through it or hiding behind my hands, so may wait for it to be on DVD so I can look foolish in my own home ::lol::
