As several of you mentioned evolution, dinosaurs etc... According to the OED a theory is ‘a supposition or system of ideas explaining something, esp. one based on general principles independent of the particular things to be explained’. It is stated as being the opposite of the word hypothesis which is ‘a proposition made as a basis for reasoning, without the assumption of its truth’.

I reckon this short summary of the assumptions of evolution shows it takes more faith to believe in evolution than creation. And I'm not even going into the realms of probability! Put simply, the theory purports that over a long time and through a series of random processes, non-life turned into life which was first simple then became complex. What is the probability of placing a monkey in a room, giving him a typewriter and seeing a written essay emerge after several years? What about throwing some car parts and components together and expecting a car to come together without design or designer?

Look at the process of reproduction which many people call ‘a miracle’. It has to be functional and perfect first time in order to perpetuate life. We see evidence of variations found horizontally amongst species but not vertically between species. If you look at the complexity of the human body, and all creatures for that matter, each organ and part works in conjunction with the others and at the same time, otherwise life may fail. What about animal instincts that are not learned behaviour?

The evolution theory is not based on observable evidence (which in itself is completely unscientific!); it's circular reasoning which uses a conclusion as a premise, assuming the very thing to be proved as proof itself. There is a lot to be lost if evolution is questioned because creation is the only other choice.

Life comes from life. Design demands a Designer. Research can be found at http://www.icr.org as well as information on dinosaurs.

Pink Zebra and Little Sheep (and anyone else who has seen the film).....can you help me try to make sense of a specific part in the film.

I'm going to look into it further, but thought I'd ask for your opinions too.

There's a part in the film where Satan is walking behind the crowds. In his arms a small child is held. Initially, all that is seen is the back of the babies head. Then a little later the baby turns round and it possesses an adults face. What is your ideas/suggestions on this?

Thanks in advance.

TCx

TC - I'm not sure exactly about this, but I think their faces were just a portrayal of the evil and gruesomeness of evil spirits. Sometimes they can look no worse than ourselves (as they looked when the children were taunting Judas), but when we see them with spiritually open eyes all is revealed, how they really are.

If you're asking about why Satan was carrying a child, I think it's a very apt demonstration of his character. There are many children of Satan, demonic spirits, and he is a father of many in a similar (but opposite) way to how God is to the Church.

Don't know if anyone has anything to expound??

The Passion of the Christ had one of the biggest openings ever, but it was still topped by the debut of "Spiderman."

So for the second time, it could be said that a beetle is more popular than Jesus.

The Passion of the Christ has ignited a new controversy over what Jesus looked like in real life. In Los Angeles, children are taught that Jesus is not black or white or a man or a woman.

As a result they think he's Michael Jackson.

Could someone explain to me why Easter moves?

I mean Christmas Day is the day Jesus was born 25th Dec and Easter is the time he was crucified and then came back to life so why isnt it on a set date? This year it was well early...it's as if someone sticks a pin in the calendar and goes "that'll do for easter this year".
