As several of you mentioned evolution, dinosaurs etc... According to the OED a theory is ‘a supposition or system of ideas explaining something, esp. one based on general principles independent of the particular things to be explained’. It is stated as being the opposite of the word hypothesis which is ‘a proposition made as a basis for reasoning, without the assumption of its truth’.
I reckon this short
summary of the assumptions of evolution shows it takes more faith to believe in evolution than creation. And I'm not even going into the realms of probability! Put simply, the theory purports that over a long time and through a series of random processes, non-life turned into life which was first simple then became complex. What is the probability of placing a monkey in a room, giving him a typewriter and seeing a written essay emerge after several years? What about throwing some car parts and components together and expecting a car to come together without design or designer?
Look at the process of reproduction which many people call ‘a miracle’. It has to be functional and perfect first time in order to perpetuate life. We see evidence of variations found horizontally amongst species but not vertically between species. If you look at the complexity of the human body, and all creatures for that matter, each organ and part works in conjunction with the others and at the same time, otherwise life may fail. What about animal instincts that are not learned behaviour?
The evolution theory is not based on observable evidence (which in itself is completely unscientific!); it's circular reasoning which uses a conclusion as a premise, assuming the very thing to be proved as proof itself. There is a lot to be lost if evolution is questioned because creation is the only other choice.
Life comes from life. Design demands a Designer. Research can be found at
