Bertrand Cantat, lead singer of Noir Desir, was sentenced to eight years for manslaughter by a court in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Noir Desir have been huge in France for many many years and are actually good (or were)

His defence was "crime passionelle" which in France could mean a considerably lighter sentence than the one he did get in Lithuania.

Personally I think he should have got life!
