John Belushi was great. His death was so pointless, because some many people (especially young celebrities) have died the same way. I guess that's just the scary thing about drug addiction.

But the guy was brilliant, and I still adore him, and you all have to watch Animal House and The Blues Brothers. {@}

John Bulushi used to hang out with Robin Williams and Richard Prior during their drug taking days.

You're right, his death was pointless. The man was a comedy legend. I guess that most people in this country will only remember him from the original Blues Brothers film and not the American "Saturday Night Live" series.

I'll always remember him fondly from "National Lampoon's Animal House".

So, in memory of the great comedian, I would like you all to raise your glasses and chant "Toga, Toga, Toga, Toga".

Long live John Belushi's memory.

When I die, I've given strict instructions to my friends to have a toga party at my wake.

He was brilliant on SNL. You can get some old videos on Ebay.co.uk and I saw some of the old episodes on Paramount. I loved the 75-80 cast, I have a big scrapbook.

The friendship John had with Dan Aykroyd was really cool, you don't see that a lot with celebrities.

Emmykins, judging by you pic you have a long way to go before all this happens.

But if I'm still around I'll make sure you go off in brilliant Belushi style. Good to see that you're watching the old Paramount re-runs, I catch them when I can.

Yay! Thanks! Hopefully I've got a good few years yet.

I'm getting the urge to watch some Belushi now, but I can't decide between Blues Brothers, Animal House or SNL.

I've noticed now that Jim Belushi is quite sexy. Hasn't got John's legendary eyebrows though.
