A Sevenoaks fitness instructor and dance teacher braved freezing waters and perilous heights to star in ITV1's physically challenging gameshow Simply the Best.
Super-fit Dee Thresher, 34, who is married with two children, can be seen competing in Saturday's episode of the show, which is presented by ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell and Sky Sports' Kirsty Gallacher.
The programme is best described as a cross between It's a Knockout and Gladiators. Dee, who originally hails from Hackney, is part of the London team that takes on Manchester in a series of gruelling, and at times, downright daft events.
She joins Jeff Brazier, ex-boyfriend of Big Brother star Jade Goody, and former EastEnder Lucy Speed to battle it out on 40ft waterslides, bungee ropes and even a giant spider's web.
Dee said from her home in Garth Road: "I didn't know what to expect and I trained very hard, but nothing could prepare me for the games we had to play."
The contestants even had to dress up in ostrich costumes for one of the games, and in another Dee will be seen running across a greased surface with buckets of water while her opponents try to dislodge her.
During filming the contestants had to wait for up to five hours in freezing cold water.
Dee, who held her nerve throughout, said: "When you are in a team situation you just have to do it."
Luckily for Dee the show does not go out live - a trial run on the waterslide caused her swim suit to wander as she hit the water!
Will she triumph? Find out at 7.30pm on Saturday.
