Who has seen this?

I just did!

I thought it was brilliant, without giving too much away, I think the violence (torture) was needed to push your emotions high up enough to eventually desensitise all of those but empathy, which is needed in the end for one of the characters.

Course, I watched it with my parents, and they are pissed off at me now, think I'm so kind of sicko, just wanted to show them what I'm interested in
cos they don't really know me, oh well :-? .

Anyhoo, the extras dvd wouldn't play, and unfortunately I can't send it back cos I got its from germany and they don't have a returns policy or anything :-? . Pisses me off, I might get the three-disk one from amazon, but thats got some anime thing on it which I don't care about.

Opinions, anyone?

Oh, and its from the director of 'Audition' which I thought was also good, and that film about that family who have a hotel where all the guests die.

I have to see it. I think my parents opinion of me might actually go up if I do.

Long story, and we don't have an hmv around here :-? .

It basically bottles down to me thinking that the three-disc edition was cut (like the first release was, and the cinema release), so, I tried to get the region 2 2-disc one which says 'uncut', unfortunately, this is the dutch version (but with mostly english in it) and so, i had to order from some german place (dunno why germany...), all in all, it cost me 20 quid :-? .
