The Village be billed as the scariest film ever, and it's only got a 12A rating ${

Surely the Exocist and the Evil dead were the scariest :eek: :eek:

I don't think gory films are at all scary. It's just blood and guts. Think about it - you get gutted and you're dead pretty quick (although sometimes not because in First Aid they taught us what to do if you find someone with their guts on the pavement). If you're stalked by something unseen, or something is affecting someone around you (The Exorcist, The Shining) I think it's much scarier. It's to do with psychology and stuff. So maybe The Village is like that, but I doubt it. It's probably rubbish. So, in response, it's probably 12A because of a lack of blood/gore in an attempt to be psychologically scary.

I always found The Birds scary. Imagine if birds really did go nuts and decide to run us out of towns. :eek:

Someone went out and decided to make Spice World, now that's what I call scary.

One of Hitchcocks finest. I find the short story better, but the film is quite enjoyable.

She actually stayed in a pub near me once, they have the plaque and everything. But I'm guessing it was a bit before my time though.

Although the film 'Ghost' was not scary, I found it spiritually uplifting and probably an all time classic :oops:

As you may have guessed, I am very spiritual ;)

We just went to see Garfield and my 4 year old son was scared and wanted to go home :-?

Of course he loved the dancing cat at the end and told me in the car on the way home that he was only pretending to cry. :angel:
